User and Role Setup
Login to Environment Oracle Infrastructure Cloud environment as VP1/VP1

In this step we will be creating a workflow approval role that will be used in future steps.

Still logged in as VP1/VP1 navigate to
my favorites under the navigator icon
top right then my favorites.

Select the add new roles tab
from the search dialogue
page.

Give your role a unique
name as seen below
then click add.

Next Give the role a
description and click
save.

We will now create a new user profile
by copying VP1/VP1 and assign the
role you just created.
Under the navigator (top right) click
my favorites then copy user profile.

Search for VPI

Enter a unique user id and a
password that you will remember.
Check the box “Copy ID Type
Information”.
Make a note of your user id and
password as you will use it shortly.
Click Save.

You’ll then be redirected to your newly created User.

Click the “Roles” tab.
Add the new role you created in
step 2 and save it.
Click OK to all warning messages
to allow the page to save.

We will now add the role you
just created to a approval
user list.
o The user list is what
enables it to be used in
the approval workflow
engine.
Under the navigator top right
click my favorites then user
list setup.

Click the add tab on the search
dialogue and enter a unique
name for your user list.

Add a description.
Select the new role you just
created in previous steps.
Click save.

If you are still logged in as VP1,
make sure to logout and login as
your newly created user.

Create a Form

Once you login as
your user, you will
be presented with
the Employee Self
Service Homepage.

On the Employee Self
Service homepage, select
the design form tile.

On the Design a New
Form page, add a form
title and click add.

On step 1 of the form designer
add a label, description and
change the effective from date
to 06/01/2018 then click next.

Drag a prompt from the
widgets panel on the left side
of the page to the form
designer in the middle.
Drop it on the plug icon.

Select the prompt you just added
and on the right hand side of the
page you will see the field
properties.
Give the new form field a label,
description and choose the prompt
table COUNTRY_TBL

We will also want to use the Country
table prompt to drive the value in the
state prompt. To do this we need to
add a prompt control.
On the right side of the page in the
field properties area click the prompt
control button.
Add the state_tbl and country field.

Now drag another prompt
field from the widgets on the
left for states and use the
state_tbl prompt record.

Test some of the layout options
and interact with the form by
choosing a country then state.

Click Next
Add some
instructions and
click next.

Click next on approvers
step (we will return to this).

On the security step
add the employee role
than click activate.

The form will be activated and
you will be routed to the form
designer homepage.
Click the “Add To Homepage”
button for your new form.

On the add to home page
dialogue choose employee
self service.
You will then be notified
that it was added to your
homepage.
Click the home icon in the
header in the top right.

You will be routed your home
page. Find the tile for your new
form. Here is an example of
one I created.

Fill out New Form
Select your form from the
employee self service
homepage. This is an
example, yours will have a
different name.
Click “Fill out new form” on
the right of the page.

Note the form you
created at run time.
Enter some data and
click save.

Copy the URL from the browser and email or text it to yourself.
View your form from your phone or tablet.

Return to the employee self
service homepage and select
design a form.
Add Approvals

Find your form and click
edit.

Click on step 4 to view
the approval setup for
your form.
Add the VP1FB user list
and click next.
Activate your form
Return to homepage to
find the tile for your form.

View an existing form
or fill out a new form,
view, then click
“Preview Approval”
button.
Note the approvals.

Next we will add a reviewer to the
approval workflow engine definition
for this form.
Navigate to the “Navigator” icon in
top right, then “Navigator”, then
“Enterprise Components”.
Scroll down.

Under the Enterprise
Components menu find
approvals.
Under approvals find
approval process setup.

Find your form by searching by
Definition ID as your form name
then select the form in the search
results as seen below.

Click on the details for the VPFB
approval path step.

Find a classmate and ask
them what the user list was
they created in the setup
steps and add it to the
reviewer list.
Or just add the user list you
created.

Make sure you are in
correction mode and save
your approval definition.
Return to your homepage and
find your form tile and
navigate to it. Either create a
new form or add an existing
and save it.
Then click preview approval.
Note the reviewer has been
added.

First lets remove the
approval to make this
easy to show.
Navigate to form
designer and edit
your form. Hint the tile
for this is on your
employee self service
home page.
Find approval step 4
delete the approval
and select next.
Activate your form
as seen below

Under “Navigator,” then
“Enterprise Components” find the
forms menu.

Find Forms to CI Mapping.

In the search dialogue, click “Add
a New Value” tab.
In the document name select your
form.

Add a description. Choose
the country Component
Interface. Choose the level
0 record of COUNTRY_TBL.
Then click get CI Properties.

Play around with this page.
Note the form fields from your
form on the left and the CI
properties on the right. You
can also add default values in
the Property default column.
Save the page.

For example, you
can map the
country form field
to the component
interface field for
country.
Save the page.

Find your form from your home
page.
Edit an existing or add a new form
sequence.
o Note you may have to cancel
any approvals to see this.
Now that you have a CI and there
are no approval steps left, you will
see the “Save & Post Form” button.
This means that it will call your CI to
load the data to core.

Add a new prompt table to your form.
o Hint it’s under the enterprise component forms menu.
Play around with forms designer.
o Find a Question for Oracle or SpearMC.
