• Cut 1 square 8.25” by 8.25”. • Cut another square 8” by 8.25” (this square is the

lining and the width needs to be slightly smaller).• Mark your 8” sides with a small pen mark.

Page 3: Pencil Case. Cut 1 square 8.25” by 8.25”. Cut another square 8” by 8.25” (this square is the lining and the width needs to be slightly smaller). Mark.

• Place the smaller piece right side up. Set the zipper, facing up, on top of this piece on the 8.25” side.

• Place the other square on top of this facing down. Line them up and sew alongside the zipper.

• Repeat the last step on the other side of the zipper.

• Unzip the zipper and roll the right side out and put the lining on the inside.

• Topstitch along the zipper

• Put the outside fabric back on the inside.• Center the zipper and pin.• Trim with pinking shears.• Sew and backstitch over the zipper a couple of

times to reinforce.

• Trim all threads and turn right side out.• Your new Pencil Case is ready for use!
