Los amantes de la observación de aves tienen un paraíso en estas islas, pero muchos hábitats están desapareciendo o se transforman. Envenenado por cazadores el cuervo canario está casi extinguido en Gran Canaria, mientras el halcón tagarote ha vuelto gracias a la abundancia de tórtolas en los parques.
