Data uses– Examine cyclist/motorist interactions, intersection

behavior, route selection/preference, crashes, near misses, and rider and driver errors, evaluation of bicycle safety curricula, bike simulator validation

• Contour HD+2 camera– GPS enabled – sample rate 5x second– High Resolution– 170o Degree view– 32 GB memory• About 6 hrs of recording time

– 2.5 hrs record time on one charge

What we need from you

• Increase field of view from 170◦ to 360◦ via helmet camera and/or bike instrumentation

• Design an event button to be installed on bicycles that syncs with video/GPS data

• Requirements:– Low cost– Easy to operate and maintain– Easy to install on bike or helmet– Data synced and easy to extract for coding
