For the scenes that follow the ar/st lip syncing, one loca/on that I want to use is a mul/ storey car park.
This is because they can create a dark and moody atmosphere, and when empty they feel very isolated. I want to portray this atmosphere though my character. As her rela/onship has changed her as a person.
A car park is also a low budget public place, which is a conven/on of loca/ons that Indie Pop music videos are shot in.
One problem that car parks can have is the fact that they are a public place, meaning there may be people and cars around. This may interfere with shots and also may affect being able to play the music out loud that I would sing a lot to in order to lip sync.
I live in a busy area, and a>er researching various car parks in my area, I came to the conclusion that it would not wise to shoot in these car parks. Therefore, I have to branch out and research places further out of London.
One car park that I have found is the Peckham MulB-‐Storey Car Park. The car park is known for having the cafe 'Franks Cafe' open on the roof in the summer, and hosBng musical concerts.
When not hos/ng the events and when the café is closed, it is a large, empty open spaced car park. This is because it is situated opposite the main shopping centre, which has their own car park that people use. I am going to scout the car park and possibly shoot some footage for the scenes.
