Peacock Hand-y Craft Make a beautiful peacock decoration. Learn more about peacocks at http://animals.nationalgeographic.com Materials Needed: • Printer to print out the body (see next page) • 6 sheets blue and/or green construction paper • Crayons • Pencil • Scissors • Glue Time to create your peacock! Step 1 – Color the body. Step 2 – Cut out the body. Step 3 – Trace both hands on to each of the 6 sheets of construction paper. For small children trace 3‐4 hands per paper. They will need more hands to cover the peacock. You will have 12 ‐ 24 hands depending on the size of the child's hands. Step 4 – Cut out the hands. Step 5 – Turn the body over so the colored side is face down. Step 6 – Glue 4‐8 of the hands in an arch around the body. Step 7 – Glue the next 4‐8 hands on to the first set of hands 1/4 ‐ 1/2 inch from the bottom of the palm.
