• My experience as a Patient/Caregiver Advocate and Board-Certified Healthcare Professional and what inspires my involvement with PCORI

• Getting involved with PCORI has provided me with the mission to share the opportunity for communities of color to become engaged in the selection of topics and questions that are important to them, then develop, participate and disseminate the findings.

• An independent non-profit research organization authorized by Congress as part of the 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).

• Committed to continuously seeking input from patients and a broad range of stakeholders to guide our work.

• Mission: The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) helps people make informed healthcare decisions, and improves healthcare delivery and outcomes, by producing and promoting high integrity, evidence-based information that comes from research guided by patients, caregivers and the broader healthcare community.
