Have you noticed that things are taking shape in the community garden space? Michael and Dave took the old seats down and removed the garden edging next to the Community

Room. Thanks to Blue Shovel Earthmoving who volunteered their valuable time to excavate the space,

ready to set up our garden boxes. Bendigo Council have donated compost and soil to the school. The compost is made from Greater

Bendigo’s organic household waste. We have purchased 5 additional garden boxes, so we now have 8 ready to set up as wicking box-

es and get planting! Room 13 and 14 have been learning about the best way to make their own compost and have

started using the compost tumbler. Over the next few months we hope to be composting through-out the school.

Our Community Garden working bee will be on Sunday 2nd June at 8am onwards. Everyone is welcome and if you can help for an hour or two it would be greatly appreciated. We plan on making our wicking boxes. If you would like to see how to make a wicking box, take a look at the video link below.
