PCB MAnufacturing consists of many steps
A. PCB CAM(Computer Aided Manufacturing)
CAM performs the following functions
1)Input of the fabrication data2)Verification of the data;optionally DFM3)Compensation for deviations in the manufacturing processes.4)Panelization5)Output of the digital tools.
B. Panelization
Panelization is a procedure whereby a number of PCB's are grouped for manufacturing onto a larger board-the panel.
C. Copper patterning
The first step is to replicate the pattern in the fabricator's CAM system,on a protective mask on the copper foil PCB layers.
This technique is also used in the manufacture of the hybrid circuits
1)Silk screen printing2)Photoengraving3)PCB milling4)Laser resist ablation
D. Chemical etching
Chemical etching is usually done with the ammonium persulfate or ferric chloride.
E. Lamination
Multi-layer printed circuit boards have trace layers inside the boards.
F. Drilling
G. Plating and coating
PCB's are plated with solder,tin, or gold over nickel as to resist for etching away the unneeded underlying copper.

K. Assembly
In assembly the bare board is populated with electronic components to form a functional printed circuit assembly(PCA),sometimes called a printed circuit board assembly(PCBA).
