PCIn the world of motorcycling, there are two
kinds of engineering. Imitative and creative.At Honda, we believe in the latter.
And it shows. In the 1982 Honda CBXsports-touring machine.
At the heart of the CBXis an incomparabletwenty-four-valve, 1047 cc,six-cylinder engine. Withsix 28 mm CV carbs andaccelerator pump. Pentroof ™four-valve heads andmaintenance-free, transistor-ized pointless inductiveignition.
All that power at yourfingertips is controlledthrough a smooth, five-speed,constant-mesh transmission.And for good mid-rangepower, the CBX's mightydouble overhead cam en-gine exhausts through six-into-two high performance pipeswith interconnected, megaphone-shaped mufflers.
And making sure you stop cleanly in yourtracks are stainless steel, internally-ventilated disc brakes.

The handlingpackage starts with
Pro-Link™ rear suspension.A suspension that delivers truly progressiveaction. Low initial rates for smaller bumps.Higher rates for the bigger ones.
The large, extruded aluminum-alloyswing arm pivots on ball and needle bearingsfor long wear. And up front, 39 mm air-assistedforks feature friction-reducing Syntallic™
bushings.Of course, the CBX is
not all go and no showIts lines are sleek
r and flowing, highlightedby a fully-integrated,
wind-tunnel-tested,European-styled fairing
that's been meticulouslydesigned all the way upto the spoiler lip on thetinted windscreen.
The fairing has onelocking and one qjuick-
opening storage well.Headlight level adjustment
knob. And custom-styled rear-view mirrors.
As well, there are colour-coordinated saddlebags that
detach with the flick of a wrist, Plus abeautifully-sculptured 22-litre fuel tank.
Naturally the CBX's beauty extends all theway to the ground. There, you'll find a coupleof slick-looking, wide-rim, aluminum-alloyComstar™ wheels fitted with V-ratedtubeless tires.
