in any season and for any time of the day or week combined with absolute precision of the adjustment algorithms, adapting itself to any

configured thermo hydraulic system.

SCENARIOSA technical word that means the absolute comfort of performing a series

of repeated operations or creating the right atmosphere, with a simple gesture. With a simple command on the terminal it is possible to turn off all the lights in the house at the same time, reduce the temperature, activate the alarm, etc. Home Sapiens doesn’t limit fantasy allowing situations to be

created and changed, in “Macro” mode, in the most simple and intuitive way possible: simply manually perform all the operations only once and the

system will automatically record them ready to be repeated when you want.

latest CCTV functions: all in the same terminal. WithBTP’s latest video entry panel, Home Sapiens also incorporates

except the unexpected! But Home Sapiens can also intervene in the case of gas and water leaks,

etc. finding the fault, intervening on the system through solenoid valves or other actuators correctly

arranged and send an appropriate early-warning signals via SMS.

REMOTE MANAGEMENTHome Sapiens also lets you control your home from your mobile phone: either by controlling the system’s statusor by controlling devices as fault warnings and alarms are also transmitted simply via SMS.

CONSUMPTION CONTROL AND MONITORINGHome Sapiens allows real consumption management by its system by setting daily consumption profiles which can be different for each day of the week. You can select when they allow your home to consume more, and when to consume less thus taking advantage of the special terms offered by energy suppliers with time band pricing and by checking the actual consumption curve on the terminal compared with the ideal profile set; this allows you to eliminate unnecessary waste without reducing the level of well-being and comfort on a daily basis.

TIMER MANAGEMENTHome Sapiens allows you to free the user from performing repetitive functions linked to particular times of the day with the timer that allows you to automate sequences of executables operations in the absence of a physical user. It can be activated on time for both individual actions or scenarios up to 4 times a day with selectivity on days of activation within the week.

Recent European standards such as CEN EN 15232 (Energy performance of buildings - Impact of Building Automation, Controls and Building Management), highlight how the adoption of building automation and control systems, both in the residential and tertiary sector, may entail a substantial energy consumption reduction also quantitatively determining its input.

Based on control strategies coded by these standards, BPT studied different solutions to reduce energy consumption both with regard to external environmental conditions and to the different uses for single areas in a building allowing the energy efficiency class to be improved.

HOME AUTOMATION BUS BPT home automation systems use a bus for a communication on a twisted unpolarised pair with very low voltage that physically and logically linksto all devices connected: for example it allows electrical appliances to be controlled (lights, motors, solenoid valves etc.) separately from common control devices (switches, buttons etc.) of any civil series, increasing the level of electrical safety compared with traditional electromechanical solutions.

The system’s architecture requires a network configuration withFREE TOPOLOGY’ and ‘DISTRIBUTED INTELLIGENCE’:the first allows maximum versatility in system constructions without restrictions also if it is necessary to adapt pre-existing systems. The second ensures very high reliability against any loss of service which only restricts the functionality of the device involved and guarantees incomparable flexibility for the implementation of control strategies: due to the intelligence inside each of them, the devices can independently process the signals transmitted on the bus and react according to the programmed configuration.

BPT uses the protocol defined by standard ISO/IEC – 14908 “Open Data Communication in Building Automation, Controls and Building Management” (Lonworks), the most widespread in the world for applications for home & building automation (tens of millions of nodes installed with this technology in the whole of 2008).

PROGRAMMINGA plus of the BPT home automation system is the simplicity of the software configuration,

an essential tool for the installer to transfer the operating logics designed in the devices

in action.The configuration can be easily carried out

also off-line or without a PC in which the software resides or physically connected to the system: the design of the configuration

may therefore be done virtually, even before the real system is physically available. The

need for a physical link to the devices is required only when it is decided to shift the

programming onto them.

With the programming of the system performed via software, at the same time,

without any additional effort, the user interface on the home automation terminal is

also configured

With the PC software it is possible:- to define the system’s structure (also virtually in offline mode) by combining with the modules for the control devices (inputs) and actuators (outputs) physically available- define the control logics that shall determine the behaviour of the devices- set the “installer” scenarios- interact with the system by downloading the configuration in the devices- configure the user interface

HEATING/COOLING

The BPT home automation system enables the integrated management of the multi area heating/cooling system according to environmental variables or the building’s home automation reducing the difference of the desired comfortable temperature to a minimum.

According to European legislation CEN EN15232 of 2005 and exploiting the advanced algorithm of built-in proportional control the BPT system is able to ensure maximum environmental comfort optimising energy consumption according to data collected from environment probes and from external temperature and humidity probes.

With the BPT home automation system it is possible to set the maximum consumption limit to prevent the general trip-switch for exceeding the limit under contract through disconnection with programmable priorities for one or more controlled electrical loads.

Consumption loads control and management with release priorities list, 4 time bands with different priorities for each load.

Also the user can differentiate the consumption in the different hourly bands of the day distributing them according to its real needs or can choose which period of the day to concentrate or reduce energy consumption to exploit the advantageous hourly rates offered by many electricity suppliers.

The BPT home automation system provides the user with the ability to talk with their home remotely either by controlling the system’s status, by controlling the equipment, and receiving reports of events through the sending of an SMS.
