CfL is a registered charity with objectives that relate to increasing participation and raising the profile of work based learning (WBL) in the Humber sub-region.

CfL delivers a variety of services for its members and undertakes additional activity to support our charitable objectives. These include our ‘unique’ Apprenticeship Information and Advice Workshops which are currently being delivered to schools in the Humber sub-region.

I didn't get confused and now I know about what they are

It showed me that some job need certain grades and you need experience

Open my opportunities as I'd never thought about it

The man was fun and understanding but he focused about what he was telling us

Gave us a chance to join in and knew a lot about it

Learnt a lot gives me a good understanding of what an Apprenticeship is

•The students enjoyed the different teaching styles used throughout the presentation

•This workshop is really valued by the school and it would be missed if the funding is stopped

•Paul and his team have their delivery off to a fine art

•As the presentation is so good even the most hard to reach students tend to listen

•I think the year 9 work was a welcome addition to the services offered by the CFL

The pupils always comment on how they didn't realise the range of jobs available. The workshop has stopped some people choosing the wrong option in year 11

The students were engaged and genuinely interested in the information they were given and researched for themselves

Has made quite a few consider other options/careers

A knowledge of opportunities for their progression from school other than college

The pupils have a greater awareness not only about Apprenticeships but also about learning in the future. They have enjoyed a motivational talk with impartial advice that can affect all of them.

Our students get a lot out of CFL and take everything on board what they are told

The pupils gained a detailed knowledge of the process and a keen interest to find out more
