• His father was a German music

teacher. His mother was a

Swiss singer.

• When he was young he was

interested in music. He

played the violin in an

orchestra, but when he was a

teenager he was more

interested in visual arts. He

studied in an Art School in

Munich, Germany.

• He married a German pianist

and they had a son, Felix Paul.

• He travelled to different

countries like France,

Germany, Italy and Tunisia.

This influenced on his art.

He was a friend of Wasilly Kandinskyand Franz Marc. They formed the Blue Rider

group.

He experimented on different artistic

movements like

- Cubism

- Surrealism

- Expressionism

Paul Klee was a teacher at the

Bauhaus School of Art and Design

in Germany.

He painted about 10.000 pieces of art at the

end of his life.

First, take a blank piece of

paper.

Second, think of your

proportions and trace your

face features in pencil,

and then in sharpie.

Emphasize the details that

are unique to you. They

will make the portrait look

like you (freckles, hair

style, head shape, etc.).

Third, cut out tissue

squares and lay them on

your portrait.

Then spary each portrait

with water. After a couple

of minutes take off the

tissue paper and let dry.

Think about Paul Klee and his colour experiments.
