IEP at Ohio University is seeking a Study Abroad Marketing and Outreach intern starting August 12, 2013. The details follow. Applications will be accepted through May 10, 2013.
IEP - International Education Programs at Ohio University - offers affordable and immersive study, volun-teer, service-learning and internship programs in over 20 countries throughout Latin America, Europe, Af-rica, Asia and Oceania. IEP academic and internship programs offer experiences for a wide variety of ma-jors and include direct-enrollment programs at large prestigious universities abroad, center-based culture and development studies, and customized internships.
This placement is geared towards students interested in pursuing a career in international education, with a focus on education abroad. Interns will be working in a small office assisting with the creation and exe-cution of a marketing and outreach plan for IEP at Ohio University. At the conclusion of this placement, interns will have gained solid skills expected of an entry-level education abroad professional and will take away a portfolio of marketing and outreach ideas. This position is based at Ohio University in Athens, OH. Applicants should take into consideration relocation time and expenses when applying (if applicable).
The internship runs from August 12, 2013 through November 30, 2013 with an option to renew for Janu-ary 13, 2014 through April 30, 2014.

Proficient on the computer (MAC & PC) or quick learner with technology

Available no less than 20 hours/week
Must have authorization to work in the U.S.
STIPEND:
$600/month

Background reports should be sent to the Office of Student Affairs, 124 McCracken Hall, Athens, Ohio, 45701. Prospective professional interns should also request their results be sent to the Ohio Department of Education for licensure.
