WHAT: Meditations on the Stations of the Cross

WHEN: Thursday, April 2, 2020, 7-8:30 pm.

WHERE: St. Brigid Catholic Church, 7801 Lowrance Rd., Memphis, TN 38125

CONTACT: Scott Elsholz, [email protected], 901-758-0128 On the last Thursday of Lent, St. Brigid Catholic Church is offering special poetic and musical medi-tations on the fourteen Stations of the Cross. Each station will be accompanied by a sacred poem by the French poet Paul Claudel, after which Dr. Scott Elsholz will perform a musical reflection on that poem, including organ, vocal, and flute music from a variety of composers. This program is free and a reception will follow the program.

Thursday, March 26, 2020, 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Catholic Charities of West Tennessee, 1325 Jefferson Avenue. This Lent, come and reflect with us on the many ways Jesus guides us to happiness. A morning of prayer, service, lunch and learning with clients of Catholic Charities’ programs. The retreat is free of charge. All are welcome! Music Ministry News

Our music ensembles are back in session and are al-ready starting to prepare for Holy Week and Easter! If you are interested in joining the Parish Choir, Children's Choir, Contemporary Choir, Handbell Choir, or Resurrection Choir (funeral choir), for more information please contact Dr. Scott at [email protected] Parish Choir: Rehearses Wednesdays, 7-8:30pm Handbell Choir: Rehearses Wednesdays, 6-7pm Children's Choir (grades 3 and up): Rehearses Wednesdays, 5:20-6pm

Resurrection/Funeral Choir: Rehearses two Tuesdays per month, 10am, beginning.

Contemporary Choir: Rehearses Sundays at 4 pm, prior to 5 pm Mass.

Bible Study St. Brigid offers a discussion Bible Study every Wednesday morning at 10 am in Stewart Hall. We will be studying the Acts of the Apostles! Please join us as we share the love of Jesus and each other. Open to all! Questions? Contact Greg Rich at 901-488-6037.

All women of the Parish are welcome to join us

monthly or when there is a book of interest, and

you’re certainly welcome to come and check us out

without any commitment. The discussion involves a

diverse group of compassionate, respectful women.

There are times when we’ll have a guest speaker,

share scriptures and/or spiritual stories (instead of

reading a book) that have impacted our lives in some

way, while inspiring each other. Our next meeting

will be Saturday, March 7th. Our meetings are held

on the first Saturday of each month in Stewart Hall

from noon to 2:00pm which includes refreshments.

Annual Catholic Appeal

We asked all parishioners to make their commitments to

the 2020 Annual Catholic Appeal. So far we have

received 38 commitments made for a total of $6,570.00.

For those of you who have not had an

opportunity to complete a commitment card, they are

available in all entrances to the church. Please take a

minute to complete your card and return to the parish

office. Whether or not you contribute, it is important that

you complete a commitment card. If you do not wish to

contribute, please mark the box indicating you will pray for

the Catholic Church in West Tennessee and for this

year’s Annual Catholic Appeal.

Made For More Young Adult Retreat March 20-22—The Grove at Red Oak Lake in Cordova God has a plan and purpose for your life, but it can sometimes be difficult to hear him speak in everyday life.
