To receive the Body of Christ, you should hold your hand
open with your other hand below it, making a throne for
the Sacrament to be placed in. This manner of receiving
recalls the words of St. Cyril of Jerusalem: ‘With (one) hand, make a throne for the (other) hand which is about to receive the Body of Christ as you say Amen.’
