Activity One

• Video: watch video http://www.gcflearnfree.org/computer/lesson.aspx?id=1342

• (K-1st) Teacher asks students to open the file named Computer Parts on their individual computers. Students will match the parts and names together by dragging the names below the photograph. Teacher monitors students working independently. Students complete the Tower assignment too. (check answers on the PowerPoint, next slide)

Computer Parts and their Functions• Computer parts and functions activity (think, pair, & share)

- Students will work with a partner and open Microsoft PowerPoint to insert a picture of each computer part listed below. Partners will discuss, then type an answer next to each computer part explaining how each computer part below works and share answers with the class:
