2011 has been a continuation of the challenging times we live in.

The following facts are from the World Health Organization (WHO):

The last fact says so much because tests that indicate high blood sugar do not mean that type 2 diabetes will surely follow. Although some risk factors for this disease cannot be changed, such as family history, ethnicity, aging, or a history of pre-diabetes, the above lifestyle changes can reduce your risk. you can also take supplemental steps to reduce high blood sugar (glucose) levels, and AIM has just what you need to do so.

Insulin is secreted by the pancreas when the body detects a rise in blood sugar. After insulin attaches to the surface of a cell, blood sugar can be absorbed into the cell and used for energy. accident in the 1970s when hospital patients developed high blood sugar from being fed intravenously.

Since chromium was already known to be required for insulin action in animals, it was added to the patients’ feeding solutions, correcting their blood sugar issues.

Believed to activate insulin receptors, vanadium—the second trace mineral in GlucoChrom—improves systemic responsiveness to glucose (insulin sensitivity), so it helps to promote a healthy reduction of blood sugar levels. Gymnema has been used in India

as a natural, Ayurvedic remedy to treat diabetes for nearly 2,000 years. In fact, one of the many names of this woody, climbing plant is gurmar, which translates from Hindi as the destroyer of sugar. Chewing on gymnema leaves can reduce sugar cravings. This herb is noted for lowering blood sugar levels and stimulating insulin secretion, so it is an ideal leaf extract for the GlucoChrom formula.

In 2003, I was diagnosed with high blood sugar by my doctor, so a glucose tolerance test was recommended. Upon completion of the test, the doctor wanted me to go to a class for diabetic instruction in what and how to eat, but I didn’t go or take any of his prescribed medication.

I found out from research that chromium is necessary for insulin to work, and so in 2004 I started to use GlucoChrom, which I continue to use. All of my annual blood tests have shown that my diabetes is under control. I gave a datasheet to my doctor, who is a diabetic, and even though he agreed that Glucochrom worked for me, he wouldn’t try it because it wasn’t recommended by the American Medical Association. gold medals from the Texas meet. I then went to Comstock, Texas—with twenty-five-to-thirty mile per hour winds and temperatures over 100 degrees—to train for the National Senior Games which took place the following month in Houston.

“At the nationals, I won the gold medal in the 1,500-meter race-walk, beating my own best time by over fifty seconds. The following morning, I ran a 5-kilometer race at 7:00 a.m., coming in third. “I just returned home from Texas where I competed in the Texas Senior Games at Bryan/College Station. I raced in the 1,500-meter and 5-kilometer race-walks and the 5-kilometer and 10-kilometer runs in the 70-to-75 age group. I won them all.

AIM Chairman’s Club Director Carolyn Kling appeared on “Aging Outside the Box®” Syndicated Radio Show on August 18 to share her testimony of health and wealth. Carolyn and her husband Jim were principal founders of AIM and recently reached the Seven Million Dollar Club in earnings through their AIM business.

During the Aging Outside the Box program, Carolyn detailed her experiences, starting thirty years ago with the founding of The AIM Companies™ and the first barley leaf juice to present day with her role as one of the leading business builders in the history of The AIM Companies. Throughout the hour-long segment, Carolyn weaved testimonies of better health through AIM nutrition, opportunity, and success.

“Jim saw that this product was outstanding,” said Carolyn, as she recounted the origins of their BarleyLife history, “and he found people that were taking it who were getting well. One lady with extreme arthritis threw her walker away; another lady had cancer and her doctor wrote a note on a prescription pad that said radiation and barley had put her cancer in remission. So we just went from there.”

Carolyn and Jim quit their real estate business in Nampa, Idaho, to pursue the AIM opportunity full time. Their passion for the products was key to building a strong business.

“We wanted to share with everyone we met,” Carolyn said. “We had a three-foot rule where if you got within three

Assisting mangosteen in the Candida fight is beta-glucanase, the fourth and final active ingredient in CranVerry+’s new formula. To understand this enzyme’s role in the battle with Candida, it is important to understand how biofilms and infections occur in the body. Biofilms are used by microorganisms as a way to remain adhered to surfaces inside the body. compounds, only the PACs in cranberries and blueberries have been shown to have the stick-free effect on urinary bacteria. One of the hormonal changes a middle-aged or older man can go through may result in an enlarged prostate—a condition known as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Environ-mental factors, such as diet, may also trigger BPH, but its exact cause is unknown.

An enlarged prostate compresses the urethra and affects the flow of urine from the bladder. Star Sapphire Directors Joanne and Wayne Jackson joined AIM in 1987, and over the years, they have worked at building their AIM business, actively holding meetings and participating in trade shows.

The Jacksons live northwest of Toronto in the town of Hillsburgh, where the surrounding countryside is dotted by farmland. On April 30, 2011, in the nearby town of Erin, the Jacksons tended their booth at the Home & Lifestyle Show.

Having decided to get back to the basics, Joanne and Wayne showcased only AIM BarleyLife® to introduce attendees to AIM’s foundational product. The show was a huge success for them, and Joanne wrote an article about it that will be published in the next issue of Health Headlines. Extracted from that article are the following five tips for your own success:

1) Advertise that you will have a booth at the trade show, farmer’s market, or other venue, and place an ad in publications that are promoting the event. Contact your local paper to see if they would like to do an article about your BarleyLife business.

2) Keep your booth simple by using canisters of BarleyLife along with posters and datasheets. Display sales items, such as Nutrition That Works insulated grocery bags, Healthy Cell Concept DVDs, and hand blenders. Play an AIM DVD or make up a slide show with pictures of BarleyLife, barley grass, etc. for people to watch. Hand out BarleyLife

3) Advertise a “special p r i c e” f o r e v e n t purchases only. Make BarleyLife gift bags—for example, a canister of BarleyLife, a datasheet, and a measuring spoon. Staple your business card to the outside of the bag.

4) Ask if it would be all right to contact people who purchase BarleyLife in “a week or two” so that they expect and welcome your follow-up call—keep them short and sweet!

5) When speaking to people about BarleyLife, explain alkalinity and how important it is for good health. Most people are unaware that disease will thrive in an acidic environment but will not survive in an alkaline one. This really helps to get the point across as to why BarleyLife is important for optimal health.
