1 How does Poly support its Hosted Voice partners?

At the entry level of our Hosted Voice partner program, your Poly distributor will provide primary account support. As our partnership level grows, we’ll assign you a Poly account manager, and you will be eligible for additional partner program support. You’ll also be able to access a complete list of program benefits after you join our Hosted Voice partner program.

2 Do I qualify as a Hosted Voice service provider?

Hosted Voice service providers deliver cloud-based communications services or applications (hosted voice or voice/video) to small, medium, and large businesses from their application servers in the cloud. Poly will help determine which partner program best fits your business when you apply.

3 How does Poly's Device-as-a-Service program work, and are we eligible?

With Poly’s Device-as-a-Service (DaaS) program, you can easily offer endpoints as a rental instead of an upfront purchase. By using the DaaS program, you avoid the upfront capital expense for the endpoints and can provide your customers with the flexibility of a rental. You need to sell at least 1,200 phones per year to be eligible to join the DaaS program.

4As a Hosted Voice partner, can we sell other Poly products, like headsets or video endpoints?

Yes. Hosted Voice partners can sell the full range of Poly products and services, as long as they meet certification requirements for the product category.

5 What tools does Poly provide to simplify management of devices?

Poly offers several software tools for this purpose, including our Poly Device Management Service for Service Providers (PDMS-SP). PDMS-SP provides an easy, powerful, cloud-based tool to manage, configure, troubleshoot, and report on voice endpoints.

1 We don't sell enough Polycom phones to qualify.

There are no minimum sales requirements to join the Poly Hosted Voice partner program. You can benefit from the partner program even if you’re a smaller service provider.

2 We don't sell Polycom phones because they are too expensive.

Our latest generation of phones, the VVX x50 Series, provides a terrific value by combining excellent quality and our legendary audio experience with a competitive pricing structure.

3I don't want my team to have to go through training and certification to sell Polycom phones.

While Voice certifications and training are still available and always a good idea, we no longer require that partners complete them before selling our voice products.

4 Our customers say they can find Poly voice endpoints cheaper online.

Poly phones found online at rock-bottom prices are often “gray market” devices sold by unauthorized retailers. These phones are not eligible for the same warranty and support that’s available on Poly devices purchased through authorized channels. They may have been previously sold or used and/or originally configured for sale in another country. Poly continues to take steps to shut down gray market sources and ensure our partners can compete on an even playing field.

5 I already sell phones from one of your competitors.

If it’s been a while since you last reviewed your phone offerings, we’d encourage you to take another look at Poly. The new Poly offers a complete range of products for Hosted Voice providers. We’re also focused on being easier to work with and more responsive to our partners. We work with a broad range of call control platforms and distribution partners, so you can begin offering Poly products without changing existing business relationships.

1 What certifications do I need to sell phones and/or headsets?

We offer training tools and resources to help you sell Poly products more effectively, but we no longer require certification to sell voice endpoints or headsets. Just join our partner program and order through our distribution network.

2 Do I need to purchase through a distributor, and what are my options?

Yes. Partners need to purchase from Poly through our distribution network. To see a list of distribution partners in your region, view the Polycom Distributor Locator found at polycom.com.

3 Will I get a better discount as a Hosted Voice partner?

We offer different discounts and incentives to partners, along with deal registration on larger opportunities. Your distributor or Poly account manager will work with you to determine what discounts apply to your business.

4What tools or services does Poly provide to help deploy and manage devices?

Poly offers multiple software tools for managing devices. These include the Poly Device Management Service for Service Providers (PDMS-SP). PDMS-SP provides an easy, powerful, cloud-based tool to manage, configure, troubleshoot, and report on voice endpoints.

5 Can I get demo units to use for sales and training purposes?

Yes. As a Poly partner, you can purchase demonstration equipment at a special discount.
