Participant Information Purpose and Format e Daniels Fund Ethics Consortium Summit — a component of the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative — is designed to be an immersive and relevant educational experience that promotes and demonstrates the value of principle-based ethics. e Ethics Summit facilitates direct interaction and conversation among participants in a series of keynote presentations, panels, and small group discussions. A primary focus is the engagement of business leaders to extend the Ethics Summit’s relevance and value beyond the campus and into the business world. Goals ■ Demonstrate that education and ethics are critical and central to the creation of long-term value in business and society ■ Increase the involvement of business in ethics education and the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative ■ Expand the awareness and impact of the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative ■ Maintain relevance through the involvement of business leaders Participants In the pilot program, approximately 100 attendees from the eight member universities in the Daniels Fund Ethics Consortium will participate. To ensure local relationships are strengthened and all attendees benefit from a range of experiences and perspectives, each university will be represented by up to 12 participants: ■ Four undergraduate students ■ Four business leaders of mid- to large-size companies ■ Four members of the university faculty Topic “Ethics in Social Media" is the theme for 2014, with focus on the following topics: ■ Social Media 101 ■ Intellectual Property ■ Privacy ■ Social Media “Explosions” ■ Using Social Media for Good If the Ethics Summit continues in future years, the topic and host universities will change.

Participants must register by no later than Friday, September 26, 2014. There is no registration fee.
Traveling to and Staying in DenverDaniels Fund Ethics Consortium universities are responsible for the cost of any participant travel and hotel accommodations associated with the Ethics Summit.
All participants should plan to stay at the Grand Hyatt Denver, unless they reside in the Denver metropolitan area and prefer not to stay at the hotel. Daniels Fund has secured a block of rooms at a discounted nightly rate. Please use the link below to make reservations.
