Part-time worksThe success rate for our adult students is a huge 85% – well above the national average (79%) – which means part-time study with Bedford College could be your key to unlocking amazing new opportunities in life and work. How do I find out what thefee for my course is?The fee for your chosen course is listed in thecourse entries (from page 11) and includes the cost of tuition plus the cost of any examand registration fee charged by the examboard (if applicable).

Are there any other costs I may have to pay?Some courses may require you to pay extra costs for things such as course books,trips, and specialist equipment or clothing. To find out if your course has any additionalcosts, check the course information online by entering the course code atwww.bedford.ac.uk/parttime or call 01234 291000.

I’m an international student –are my course fees different?If you have not been resident in the UK, EU or EEA for more than three years beforethe start of your course (excluding any timespent in full-time education), different course fees may apply to you – please call+44 (0)1234 291000 to find out more.

My employer is funding mycourse – what do I need to do?You’ll need to provide a signed letter orpurchase order from your employer and wewill invoice them accordingly. Call ourEmployer Training Services team on 01234 291747 to find out more.

How do I pay for my course?You can pay by cash, cheque, credit or debitcard. And for courses over £100 we offer anaffordable Direct Debit instalments option* tohelp spread the cost of your course. 24+ Advanced Learning Loan

If you’re aged 24 or over on the start date of your chosen course, you can now apply for a loanto cover the tuition fees for some Level 3 or 4qualifications. And with nothing to pay back untilyou’ve completed your course and you’re earningover £21,000 per year, a 24+ Advanced LearningLoan is a fantastic new way to make part-timestudy more affordable.

Look out for the symbol next to the coursetitle to see if your chosen course is eligible forthe loan.

Higher education loan

Low-interest loans are also available to pay thecost of the tuition fee for higher education courses(e.g. HNC/Ds and Foundation Degrees), withrepayments starting after your studies are finishedand only when your salary rises above £21,000.

BTEC Awards, Certificates and Diplomas (Levels 1, 2 or 3) –work-related qualifications designed to link closely with industry,widely taken and recognised by universities and employers.

BTEC Higher National Diplomas: HNDs (Level 5) – work-relatedhigher education qualifications, providing a practical alternative todegree-level learning. You can also convert a HND to a Bachelor’sDegree at university with extra study.

English for Speakers of Other Languages: ESOL (Entry Level& Level 1) – designed to improve language skills for those whodon’t speak English.

National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Certificates andDiplomas (Levels 1-6) – designed to develop your knowledge andskills in a specific job, covering the vast majority of business sectors.
