A Large no. of IEEE activities was conducted by the section to spread awareness among
members about IEEE. A handful of events like IEEE Delhi Section Student Congress, Rajasthan Sub Section Congress, Hackathons,etc were organised to add value to the
membership. A no. of technical and professional activites were organised to boost the membership and
spread awareness which have been reported on Vtools and as attached in the Appendix 1.

IEEE Delhi Section Student Congress 2019 is IEEE Delhi section‟s biggest assembly of engineers. Attracting hundreds of delegates from more than 40 Student Branches, DSC is an annual event
that provides a great opportunity to reach out and engage students from every institution in the
field of Engineering. The event provides attendees with tangible, real-life examples and helps them improve their interpersonal and professional skills. Delhi Section Student Congress is a
magnificent opportunity, an edifying experience and an invaluable platform for delegates to collaborate and ideate. The previous editions of this conference were held at DTU and NSUT
respectively. DSC 2019 was held at IIIT Delhi on 12th and 13th october, 2019. This year DSC‟s theme was “INSPIRING INCLUSIVE INNOVATION” Living up to the theme, the first day observed
inspiring talks by different technical and non speakers, while the second day was marked by
plenary talks by delivered by several decorated panels that discussed brilliant innovative ideas. The event also observed some intriguing project presentations by participating IEEE student
branches.
The RAJASTHAN SUBSECTION CONGRESS 2020 was held on 12th January 2020. Nearly 150
delegates from nearly 20 colleges including Manipal University Jaipur, Government Engineering College (GEC) Ajmer, Mody University, Chandigarh University, BKBIET Pilani, IIT Jodhpur,
Poornima University, The NorthCap University, Manav Rachna University got themselves registered and got their delegate kits and IDs.
Under the banner of WIE, a Sub Section level(Chandigarh) hackathon was conducted by IEEE
Delhi for the first time in Chitkara University, Chandigarh in the month of March 2019 with saw
participation from all over Chandigarh. WIEMPOWER, a WIE event which had workshops and competitions like IDEATHON were conducted at IGDTUW. Moreover, a technical paper publishing
conference was conducted by IEEE Delhi Section Student Network in association with HMRITM.
The conference had the keynote session by Dr. Gulshan Rai, former Chief Cyber Security Office,
PMO, Government of India. Sessions by Dr. Manpreet Kaur threw some light on how the IEEE WIE functions and how can one can set-up a branch of IEEE WIE in their respective colleges. IEEE R10
Young Professionals South Asia Coordinator, gave a presentation about his experience with IEEE; how he leveraged the platform provided to explore the world and reach exceptional success in his
career.

This was joint Program and Dr. Shailendra Hajela Life Member IEEE LMAG Delhi was key person
is organizing Committee. The Event was held at India International Centre, Kamaladevi
Convention Hall, Lodi Road New Delhi.on19th February 2019.Key Note Address was given by Mr.
Prasant Chug & Guest of Honor Dr. Surendra Pal, who was working in ISRO & Ws also Chairman
of IEEE Bangalore Section & Fellow Member of IEEE. Renown Researchers, Professionals from
India & abroad participated. Total 100 participants and 10 IEEE Members attended the Event.
3. World Environment Day 2019
a. This Event was jointly organized by IEEE, IET and IE (I) at India International Centre,
Annexes, Conference hall 1, Lodi Road New Delhi on 28 Jun 2019. Mr. Arvind Nautiyal Joint
Secretary Min. of Environment Govt.of India was the Guest Speaker. Total 11 Participants & 9
IEEE Members attended the Event
4. Emerging Tele Technology in Telecommunication 5G and Safety & Quality

Activity Report of IEEE Delhi Section Consultants Network Affinity Group is as under:
IEEE Delhi Section Consultants Network Affinity Group like previous years joined hands with the Section Standing Committees on Inter-Society Relations, Industry Relations, and Delhi Units of
Professional Bodies, such as, IETE, CSI, IET to organize at different locations in New Delhi several Technical Talks that are contemporary nature covering areas of Natural Language Processing, Cloud
Computing, IOT & its Use Cases for Wearable Computing, Smart Cities/Home and Connected Car for the benefit of not only IEEE Members, but also fraternities of Engineering, Computer Scientists from
acdemia as well as industries. At the same time Administrative Meeting too was held side-by-side to
run the Affinity Group, besides continuing to provide consultancy assistance in various fields coming under IEEE based on research and field experience.

IEEE Delhi Section Award Ceremony 2018-2019 was held at Manav Rachna University, Faridabad on
3rd June 2019.The event was conducted to honour and recognize the services of student volunteers
and faculty advisors alike.
There were the following categories under which awards were given to each Student Branch: 1. JK Pal Memorial Award (To final year students)
2. Outstanding Student Volunteer (To second/third year students) 3. Outstanding WIE volunteer (To second/third year students)
Branch counsellor awards were also given to selected counsellors for their commendable contribution during the ceremony. Moreover all EXECOMM members were given recognition in the
form of plaque.

and the backdrop is enclosed)
TEMS (IEEE) Delhi chapter celebrated World Environment Day on 28th June 2019 at 1730 hours at
India International Centre, in collaboration with IET, DLN and the theme was on Air Pollution followed by networking dinner.
TEMS IEEE Delhi Section organized a seminar on “Emerging Technologies in Telecommunication – 5G
and beyond” on 23rd Sept. 2019 at 4.30 PM at Engineers Bhawan, Institutions of Engineers, ITO, New
Delhi in collaboration with IET DLN and IEI.
IEEE PELS-IES Delhi Chapter and TEMS organised a Seminar on "Upcoming Renewable Technologies"
in EE Department of IIT Delhi on 21st Oct'2019 alongwith the Institute of Engineers.
I will request you to kindly attend the seminar as senior officials from DOT and Railways are
delivering the talk on Emerging Technologies in Telecommunication - 5G and beyond.
• Benefit to IEEE members (for example discounts, access to technical information etc.)
The entry was free to nominated IEEE members in all Technical seminars jointly organised at various
grand venues like five star Hotels and IITs.
• Benefit to Section (for example help in membership development, venue facilities, cost saving etc.)
Meetings were organised in University premises, hotels etc by IETE or IEI thus saving cost of booking venue for the same. Many new Members were made during these joint activities.

Provided INR.20,000/- Financial Assistance to Bangalore Section in organising and attending WIE
ILS by WIR Chair, Secretary and Vice Chair Delhi Section , Provided INR 20,000/- to Hyderabad Section in organising AISWYC-2019 and attending it by Chair and 12 Students from the delhi
Section. Attended Sir J C Bose lecture by Chair and Vice Chair of Delhi Section in Bangalore

(With Nagpur Subsection conducted a day log workshop on WIE at Nagpur in which Chair
and Vice Chair delivered Expert Lectures) Joint event AISWYC with Hyderabad section in September 2019 in which we sent 10
volunteers and Rs20000/- financial assistance.
