This week’s featured es-tablishment is Golden PinesSupper Club in St. Germain.
Located in a 1931 tradi-tional log structure thatboasts 32-foot ceilings, ChefVictor and his wife Lynnpurchased Golden Pines inOctober 2017 and have sinceimplemented dozens ofchanges.
“We’ve breathed new lifeinto the classic supper club,”Lynn said. “We’ve estab-lished a whole new menulook and feel with the blackleatherette cover, goldstamped with a refreshedlogo, and laid it out in a waythat you can quickly andeasily find whatever dishyou are hankering for.”
Guests can still find theirfavorite Tuesday night spe-cial with Chef Victor now of-fering the double lambchops.
Both Chef Victor andLynn have revamped thewine list, removing someolder labels and exchangedthem with some excitingnewer wines.
“They’re worth a try,”Lynn said. “We’ve expandedthe wine-by-the-glass pro-gram to include even morepremium wines.”
Their chalkboard specialsfeature a variety of itemswhich Chef Victor wants toshare with guests.
“This could be a wine orcocktail special, a new prod-uct or an all new presenta-tion of a classic favoritedish,” Lynn said.
The addition of freshflowers near the entrancehas been included as part ofthe experience at GoldenPines. Lynn said the flowersfit right along with the freshvegetables or the freshberries on the hand-madedesserts.
Golden Pines SupperClub works closely with its
food and beverage vendors tooffer the freshest, newestproducts at a reasonable costto its guests.
Spending time and atten-tion on training employees, ¸restaurant prides itself onconsistency, timeliness andpresentation.
“We’ve returned to a funplace to enjoy an evening outwith your spouse, or familyand friends,” Lynn said.“From delicious, fairly-pricedfood to a motivated staff, wework hard to make yournight a success.”
Both Chef Victor andLynn say there is a lot morecoming at Golden Pines fol-lowing the annual springdown time.
They said Golden Pineswill close March 19 and re-open April 21. During thattime, staff will install new
table tops, redo and expandthe wall artwork to reflectmore of the North Woodsheritage and will take on thefloor to ceiling and front toback spring cleaning.
Prior to closing, Chef Vic-tor and Lynn invite guests tojoin them on St. Patrick’sDay, Saturday, March 17,from 5 to 8 p.m. when theytreat diners to an all-you-can-eat “Corned Beef, Cab-bage & Everything but theKitchen Sink Buffet.”
“Even tap beers will be onspecial,” Lynn said. “Andwho knows, they might justbe green for the occasion.”
Reservations are encour-aged as Lynn anticipatesthis one-of-a-kind event willbe a sell out.
As is the case any night,Golden Pines Supper Club isone of few restaurants that
still takes reservations fordinner, and Lynn recom-mends the reservations forlarger groups. Guests cancall (715) 479-7178 anytimeafter 4 p.m., or request areservation by [email protected].
Golden Pines has a newwebsite featuring a photomenu, which can be foundonline at GoldenPinesSup-perClub.com.

JUDY BARR - DOES NOT DISAPPOINT!“I did not know any Realtors in the Eagle River area, so I did
some research and decided to have Judy Barr list my Eagle Riverlakefront property . . . she didn’t disappoint! Judy did some incredi-ble marketing of my property and within a couple of weeks I had aFULL price offer! Judy went over and above to make sure that ev-erything was in order for the closing. I would HIGHLY recommendJudy . . . you won’t be disappointed!”
