Foil Printed Moon
Make a ‘Foil Printed Moon’. Use the
instructions (attached) to make your very own
moon artwork.
Foil Printed Moon Instructions:
Materials Needed for the Foil-Printed Moon Craft:
● Foil● Measuring cup (or other small cup)● White paper● Something round to trace● Marker● Black paper● Grey paint (Optional: white and black paint)● Scissors● Glue
1. To get this craft ready, I first created the foil “stamps”. Do to this, press the foil into the measuring cup.Push the foil into the bottom of the cup, until it forms a round bottom. I also moulded the top a bit to makea little handle.
2. Use a plate or lid to trace a circle onto a white piece of paper.
Doing the Foil-Printed Moon: First, dip the bottom of the foil stamp into the grey paint. If using white paint, dip some of the stamp into the white paint as well. Stamp the paint onto the circle shape to make the moon.
When you’re finished stamping, put the moon aside to dry. Meanwhile, make the background by makinggrey or white dots onto a black piece of paper. After all of the paint dries, cut the moon out and glue it tothe black paper. Now you have your moon in space!

DIY Moon Rocks
What you need to make DIY Moon Rocks:
● 4 cups baking soda
● 1/4 cup water
● Gold and Silver glitter
● Black food colouring
Instructions:
● In a large plastic bin, mix the baking soda and water. Add lots of glitter and some foodcolouring and stir together.
● You can let your kids explore this easy Moon Sand for a bit (warning: their hands will getmessy because of the food colouring!), or you can go right to making your rocks.
● Mould the sand with your hand to shape it into rocks. We pressed our fingers into it to formcraters on the surface.
● Allow to dry overnight.● The rocks will be brittle, but kids will love examining them.
