The Greystone Health Network
recognizes the value of recreation and we are
proud to have talented activities teams at each
of our locations. These teams are developing
exciting new programs designed to enhance our
resident’s health mentally and physically while
providing fun and creative outlets.
Recreation is proven to reduce stress,
improve our mood, control our pain and lower
our blood pressure. Studies show time and time
again that our bodies crave activity, and our
quality of life improves when we are active
participants in recreational programs.
Participating in recreational activities
allows you to improve mental and physical
conditions all at the same time, providing a
greater benefit to your health. While recreation
is certainly not a replacement for medical
treatments, it is a great way to positively
contribute to our overall well being.
We encourage our residents to
participate in our activity offerings, located on
your community calendars as well as inside this
newsletter. Family and friends are welcome to
participate with their loved ones in appropriate
programs.
As we continue to improve our programs
and provide activities that our residents find
entertaining and stimulating we welcome your
suggestions. If there is something that you
would like to see offered during your stay with
us, please let your activities department know.
