========================================= SCHOOL STUDENT NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY The school, mindful of its mission to be a witness to the love of Christ for all, admits students regardless of race, color or national and/or ethnic origin to all rights, privi-leges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available at the school. The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, col-or, disability, sex or national and/or ethnic origin in the administration of educational policies, admissions poli-cies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and oth-er school-administered programs, although certain athlet-ic leagues and other programs may limit participation and some archdiocesan schools operate as single sex schools. While the school does not discriminate against students with special needs, a full range of services may not always be available to them. Decisions concerning the admission and continued enrollment of a student in the school are based upon the student’s emotional, academic and physi-cal abilities and the resources available to the school in meeting the student’s needs.

Common tricks strangers use to lure children Are you familiar with the news show segments test-ing children's safety knowledge? They often feature "strangers" trying to lure children with offers of ice cream, modeling contracts, or other goodies. They know that while many children are taught to avoid strangers, they may not be taught to recognize abduc-tion tactics. For more information on common tricks predators may use to lure children from The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, visit http://www.kidsmartz.org/CommonTricks.

PASSION & PURPOSE FOR MARRIAGE
HOLY HUMOR
POPE FRANCIS@PONTIFEX 1/24/18-11:30am I would like to invite everyone to promote a journalism of peace, a journalism created by people for people. 1/24/18-8:30am The most radical antidote to the virus of falsehood is purification by the truth.
1/24/18-3:30am There is no such thing as harmless disinformation; trusting in falsehood can have dire consequences. 1/23/18 Prayer that purifies, strengthens and illuminates our path is like fuel for our journey towards full Christian unity. 1/22/18 I am grateful to all who have accompanied me on my pilgrimage to Chile and Peru in so many ways, especially with prayer.
On Saturday January 20, Knights of Columbus members provided security for the OneLife L.A. March in downtown Los Angeles. After an opening prayer by Archbishop Jose Gomez the parade wound it's way through the downtown area and ended in a park near Chinatown. Knights of Columbus Council 3449 was represented by St. Barnabas parishioners; Jun Tadique (Grand Knight), Alex Cajayon, Bob Kalowes and Ray Barnum. Preferring to be called "Goodwill Ambassadors" these Knights stood by at a designated intersection as an estimated 25,000 participants marched in joyous rapture for the pro-life message.
KNIGHTS AT ONELIFE L.A.
A Catholic couple in Chicago made plans to visit Florida in order to thaw out during a particularly cold winter in the Windy City. They planned to stay at the same hotel where they had honeymooned two decades before. Their busy schedules however made it impossible for the couple to travel together. So the husband flew to Florida on Thursday and his wife planned to arrive the following day. The husband checked into the hotel and decided to email his wife from the hotel's business center. However, he mistyped her email address. Meanwhile in Dallas a widow who had just returned home from her husband's funeral checked her email expecting messages of condolences from relatives and friends. She read the first message screamed and fainted. The widow's son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor, and saw this on the computer screen: To: My Loving Wife From: Your Departed Husband Subject: I've arrived I know you’re surprised to hear from me so soon, but they have computers here now and I thought I'd let you know I’m already here and have been checked in. Everything is ready for your arrival tomorrow PS: Sure is hot down here! The 2nd Book of Catholic Jokes by Deacon Tom Sheridan, Published by ACTA Publications, Chicago, Il. Copyright@2010
