Half of H2 in breadth but similar to H2 in depth
Equivalent to current ‘A' Level subjects
Subjects with diverse learning opportunities for in-depth study (e.g. advanced content, research paper, university module). Students must offer the corresponding subject at H2 level.

• To be eligible for PSC scholarships, a student must offer more than the norm units of subject combinations
At least 10 unitsH1, H2, H3 subjects including GP/KI, PW
(1 unit)H1 MTL. This is not required if already met criteria at ‘O’
level HMT
+ = 10 + (1) units or 11 + (1) units
• H3 subjects and KI is not compulsory

Why offer H3?
• H3 programmes will enable our students to pursue their passions and stretch themselves.
• Currently, universities may admit up to 10% of their students under discretionary admission.
• From 2008, students’ H3 scores will be considered for discretionary admission.

Is H3 needed for Scholarship Application?
• H3 subjects are not compulsory for PSC Scholarships application.
• H3 subjects are designed to allow exceptional students to pursue a subject or area in which they have the interest and aptitude in.
• Therefore, students should pursue H3 subjects based on their passion in these subjects

What is the criteria to offer H3 in NJC?
• Obtain minimum of BBC for the best 3 H2 level subjects (include KI)
• Obtain a minimum of ‘E’ grade for H1 General Paper or ‘S’ grade for H2 Knowledge & Inquiry
• Meet the individual subject criteria to take the subect at H3 level.
