cleared absence (Truant days don’t count)

2. Set out a cookie sheet with sides. Line with parchment paper.
3. Put into a large bowl and mix:1 Cup brown sugar, packed
1 Cup water
Chocolate Chip Snackin’Cake
4. Add and mix:
1/3 Cup vegetable oil
1 Teaspoon vinegar
¼ Teaspoon vanilla
5. Sift into a small bowl
1 2/3 Cups flour
1 Teaspoon baking soda
½ Teaspoon salt
Chocolate Chip Snackin’Cake
6. Gradually add flour mixture to sugar mixture. Mix well.
7. Pour batter into a ungreased cookie sheet.
8. Sprinkle over the batter:
1 6-ounce package chocolate chip
9. Bake 20 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.

1 “View Binder with 5 tab dividers to be used only for this class
100 sheets of paper Blue or black ink pen only, or pencil – work in
other colors of will not be graded $30.00 (each sub term = $60 Total) Consumable Supplies contribution due Feb. 8 & April 19 See teacher privately if trouble

Arrive on time dressed appropriately with necessary supplies.

Conduct Continued
Be organized, keep notes, and anticipate and plan for assignments, turn in neat, quality work.
Your academic integrity is essential. Make certain all work is your own. Only video and lecture notes may be copied. All other work (worksheets, textbook questions, etc.) must not be copied
Keep the classroom and foods lab areas clean and follow sanitation procedures as directed.
Horseplay, misuse or abuse of equipment, mischievous behavior and any attempt to disrupt labs and class will be dealt with severely. We must all stay focused and work safely.
Conduct Continued
You will be trained as to what areas of the foods lab classroom you have access. Do not go into cabinets, refrigerators, freezers, appliances or any area that you have not been given permission to access. Do not eat food or ingredients used in class unless you are given permission to do so.
Do not bring food, beverages, gum or candy into the classroom unless it is part of a class assignment. A bottle of water is allowed.
Cell Phone / Electronics Use
NO cell phones, headsets or any electronic equipment out or operated at any time.
Foods Lab Required Dress
Long pants Shoes that completely cover the feet with low heel
(athletic shoes are perfect) Hair restraint, including bangs No jewelry = bracelets, rings, watches School Provides: apron or chef coat, chef’s hat
Forget long pants & shoes for foods lab?
Cannot participate in lab = 0 Lose lab rotation Make up lab (previously described) with 10
points deducted for improper dress Bring needed pants & shoes and store in
classroom
Consequences = Progressive
Warning Detention Assignment & Parent Contact Suspension from class / referral to
Administrator. Three referrals result in a class drop.
