Our kindergarten teachers are hosting a Pals Session on December 4th. "Pals" stands for Parents As Literacy Supporters and is a program that sets out to talk with parents about their child's current devel-opmental level and suggests ways to sup-port their learning at home. "Pals" also gives you an opportunity to ob-serve and work with your child in the classroom and a take home bag of materi-als is provided at the close of the session. Hope to see you in the kindergarten room and if work or other commitments make it difficult for you to attend, grandparents or family friends are also welcome. For more information about this program you can check under pro-grams and services on our school's website
Fall Cross Country Meets
& the Continuation of
Cross Country Club
We would like to congratulate all of our students
who participated in one or two of the Fall Cross
Country Meets we attended this Fall. The first was
held out at Kelly Creek on October 8th and the
most recent one was at Henderson on October 22nd.
We had decent participation and some very good
results! We are going to continue to have a Cross
Country Club throughout the school year. The new
path around the school makes it very convenient.
The Cross Country Club will meet on Thursday
mornings at 8:20am in the gym for a warm-up. We
will continue to track and log our runs. Interested
participants can check in with Mr. Burt for more
information.
We would also like to make a correction from our
last newsletter: Annika Schmunk was definitely a
top finisher in our Terry Fox Run this year and Mr.
Burt inadvertently left her off the list. Annika also
had two 1st place finishes in out two Cross Country
Meets this year. Way to go!
