Aer-school acvies have commenced and students are enjoying a wide range of acvies from sports and dance through to arts and service learning clubs. Students are excited about these opportunies and are exploring their passions with interest and enthusiasm. We would like to extend our gratude for supporng yesterday’s MS Open House event. We hope you enjoyed meeng your son/daughter’s teachers and gained deeper insights into the learning that takes place in the middle school. Next week’s Parent Bul- len will include a parent survey and we will use this feedback to inform our planning for next year’s event. Parents of G8 students are reminded that there is a parent coee for parents who wish to learn more about ISM’s Global Program. The meeng is on Wednesday, September 2nd at 6:00 p.m. in the Lohouse.The week of September 7th - September 11th is Freedom from Chemical Dependency (FCD) week. External counselors will be spending me with grade 8 students through- out the week and holding an assembly for all students in middle school focused on mak- ing wise decisions. We are currently nalizing our plans for the upcoming Classroom Without Walls (CWW) event which is scheduled for Thursday, September 17th and Friday, September 18th. The focus of the September CWW acvies is to develop team-building skills and strengthen our MS community. Later on today parents will receive an email communi- caon about the respecve grade level events. The purpose of these communicaons is to provide parents with addional informaon about the CWW acvies before the hard copies are sent home next Friday. We hope that by sending the so copies in ad- vance, parents will have the opportunity to read, review and digest the informaon before being asked to sign and return the permission slips.On Tuesday, September 15th from 7:00 - 09:00, Kim Guiry and the ESL team will be hosng a parent coee in the Lile Theater. Interested parents can come and learn more about the language acquision process and how to support their child. Please remember that there is no school on Monday due to the naonal holiday. If you are traveling, we wish you a wonderful long weekend and hope the weather is kinder than the last long weekend! If you are staying home, we hope you have a resul me with your family. The parent IDs issued since SY 2013/14 (black) will connue to be valid for the new school year. Standard
parent cards will be issued free of charge. Parents may, however, elect to apply for a smartcard ID which willbe usable with the cashless payment system introduced into the school for SY 2013-14. There will be a fee of
P250.00 for a smartcard.
Applicaons for parent IDs can be processed through the Security Oce.
School Passes
School passes issued to parents’ employees and representaves need to be replaced for this school year.
As of September 1, 2015 the dark green bordered passes will be invalid.
The security oce is now accepng applicaons for new school passes. These passes will not be compable
with the cashless payment system.
Each family will be given two free school passes. Addional school passes may be obtained aer paying a
processing fee of Php100.00 each to the Cashier’s Oce.
Car Sckers
The car sckers for school year 2015/2016 are available from the security oce.
Starng school year 2015-16 parents will no longer be required to submit copies of the registraon docu-
ments of their vehicles. They will instead be asked to conrm through the applicaon form that the vehiclehas minimum Third (3rd) Party Insurance, is legally registered and is fully compliant for operaon on the
roads under Philippine Laws. For those vehicles not registered in a parent’s name a leer of assignment will
sll be needed.
Each ISM family will be issued one vehicle scker free of charge. Any addional sckers will be issued follow-
ing payment of P100 to the cashier’s oce.
In order to facilitate the easy recognion of authorized cars at the gates, the sckers should be axed to the
top right corner of the windshield. ISM sckers issued in previous years must be removed.
