Who are potential Local Organisers (LOC) Any LOC must be a member or supported by the National
Paralympic Committee in World ParaVolley member countries in the European zone
LOC may be:◦ National Paralympic Committee◦ National Sport Federation◦ Disabled Sport Federation◦ Regional Sport federation◦ Sport club◦ Any local or national government body◦ Any other organisation accepted by ParaVolley Europe◦ Contract will be with NPC/Federation only

Finance Participating teams are responsible for their own travel and
accommodation Participating teams will pay an Entry Fee and a Referee Fee to ParaVolley
Europe LOC will help with advice on travel/hotels
◦ LOC may also help booking hotels (block-booking to save costs) LOC is responsible for all technical equipment, board and lodging for the
International Technical Officers.◦ Arrangement may be made to spread costs among participating teams
LOC is responsible for all sport facilities LOC is responsible for all local travel between hotels and venue

Fees Fee for ParaVolley Europe

Venue facilities The venue must at a minimum have
◦ Enough courts/time to play all matches required◦ Competition formats will be standard and agreed between LOC and ParaVolley Europe
Will depend on team numbers and length of event 2 teams – 3 matches, 2 on day 1 and 1 on day 2 3 teams – probably round-robin, meaning 2 matches each 4 teams – probably round-robin, meaning 3 matches each 6 teams – to be determined (will depend on number of days)
◦ All necessary equipment as described in the rules◦ Classification / massage room – if Classification is being done (and pre-arranged !)◦ Medical room

Accommodation LOC must provide advice and details on
accommodation for teams if requested◦ NB – as LOC should provide travel between hotels and venue,
it is sensible to accommodate all teams together LOC should offer to block-book to save costs LOC must prepare accommodation for international
referees in single bed rooms LOC must prepare accommodation for ParaVolley

Transport
LOC must advise on transport◦ If venue and hotel are not within walking distance, LOC should provide
transport, if teams do not have their own transport
◦ If venue and hotel are not within walking distance, LOC should provide transport for the International Technical Officers (ITOs)

Ceremonies Nothing is required, but some sort of informal
opening/closing should be arranged for participants Attention must be paid to arrival/departure times LOC may wish to provide medals/awards/certificates◦ (certificate of participation/place should be a minimum)

Meetings LOC must find a space for the Supervisor to confirm
tournament arrangements with team representatives and the ITOs.
An area of the hall would be acceptable only if no other options available.

Teams and officials Each team is allowed to enter the Championship with 17 team
members Appointed by Sport Department, ParaVolley Europe :◦ Supervisor to oversee the tournament ◦ 2 World ParaVolley International Referees◦ Enough local referees to make up the numbers◦ Where appropriate and to limit costs, the Supervisor may be one of the
appointed Referees. This will be decided by PVE Sport Department
International Referees should officiate any “final” that is played, depending on competition format

Classification If pre-arranged, Sport Department will provide classifiers WOVD Classifiers will classify players who request this The costs of the travel and accommodation for classifiers will be
borne by the teams requesting classification◦ More teams, less cost◦ No pre-arrangement – no classification
LOC must provide classification facilities if agreed Classification may mean changes to teams’ travel dates◦ Extra days or earlier arrival may be required to cater for all players
Requests for classification MUST be made as soon as possible◦ The earlier you apply, the better the chance that there will be classifiers
available◦ Do not attempt to book a few weeks in advance

How to make a bid First send a letter / E-mail to ParaVolley Europe that you are considering
making a bid for the Sub-Zonal Championship for your zone◦ At this stage it is important for LOC to appoint the LOC International Manager
able to communicate by E-mail in English.◦ You should indicate whether your National Team will participate◦ Whether the event is for Men or Women
After contact with ParaVolley Europe you will be asked to◦ Make an electronic presentation of the venue and location (travel etc)◦ Provide any further details as required by Sport Department
After acceptance of your bid your NPC/Federation and ParaVolley Europe will sign a contract describing the duties of ParaVolley Europe and LOC.
