WHAT IS PARALLEL ARCHIVE (1) ?

The Parallel Archive is a space where researchers can upload, study and share their scanned archival sources. It facilitates scholarly research, collaboration and a critical approach to documents

ON PA YOU WILL BE ABLE TO UPLOAD AND FIND

- documents of historical value, testimonies of the past- original documents, somehow unique, generally non-published material

EXAMPLES:- official, legal and organizational records and reports- manuscripts, letters, journals- photos, maps, prints, plans- newspaper clippings, annotated publications- ephemera and grey literature

This link allows you to :1. create a new Virtual collection, 2. move a Virtual collection into another,3. rename a Virtual collection 4. delete a Virtual collection

My Virtual Collections are thematic folders you create to organize your Uploaded and Collected Documents

PA’s tools to work with

Once you’ve uploaded your scanned archival documents, PA offers you tools to work with them

NB: You can benefit from these functions whilst keeping document private, for example until you publish your research

Obtain and work with the text version of most documents

Annotate your documents page by page as you read them

Refer to the permanent URL of public documents in your publications

E-mail a citation or download any document to your computer
