In recent years it has undergone a period of rapid development. Investment from the City of Manchester has seen the addition of purpose build indoor BMX facility and recently a Mountain Bike course on the neighbouring Clayton Vale to bring many more opportunities to both professional and community cyclists alike. Training – Friday 24th November One training session is planned prior to the commencement of competition on Friday 24th November from 10:00 – 14:00. Track time may be split into 2 sessions and allocated by the Competition Manager. All teams will be informed of their allocated session after entries have closed. **Please note: The track is not available between 08:00 - 10:00 and 14:00 – 17:00 whilst the Great Britain National team have planned coached sessions on Friday 24th November. The HSBC UK National Cycling Centre may be able to accommodate teams who wish to train on the track up until Friday 24th November. The availability will depend on normal public bookings. Warm Up The track will be available for 60 minutes prior to each competition session for rider warm up. These warm up periods are for riders who are competing in the following competition session only. Classification All athletes should indicate their classification status with their online entry. An International classification panel will be available at this event to carry out new, review or confirmed classifications. (Please note; International Classification is subject to classifiers available and sufficient athletes requiring classification).

There will be no Classification assessments for ‘B’ Sport Class riders. Participation will be through the approval of each rider’s own Federation. If you do not have a UCI classification or have a UCI Review status dated 2016 or before you need to complete a UCI medical diagnostic form. This needs to be completed by all ‘C’ Sport Class entrants who have review classification status awarded prior to the 2017 season and all others who have no UCI Classification. This form needs to be sent directly to [email protected] by 15th October. The form is available to download from the UCI website and is also available on the same page as the online entry page here. Online Entry and Entry Fee The Entry Fee is £43 per rider payable on entry through the online system. Entry for all athletes from all nations is through British Cycling’s online entry system here You do not need to be a British Cycling member to enter. From 18:00 Thursday evening (24th November) in the event office (Harris Suite) at the Velodrome and then during the hours of opening noted below.

**Riders must confirm their attendance and collect their numbers and accreditation at least 2 hours prior to their first competition.

Team Managers & Rider Helpers

Each rider is allowed 1 (one) helper in the track centre rider areas. This helper must be accredited at the same time as the rider.

Youth Omnium Event In support of developing young Para-cycling talent we are hosting a short 3 round Omnium type race for U16’s on Saturday. This is not a UCI points qualifying event but will give exposure to high level competition to some young aspiring athletes. Entry is open to all Under 16 Para athletes but spaces are limited. Getting to Manchester

Manchester Velodrome is served well by motorway, rail and air links. Just 30 minutes by car from Manchester International Airport and 15 minutes by car from Piccadilly train station. The Metrolink tram system runs to the Velodrome, the stop is called ‘Velopark’ and runs direct to the city centre (Piccadilly Station) in under 10 minutes. A tram also runs directly from the airport with just one change needed. The velodrome has good parking availability for those travelling by road.

No access is available to accredited areas from Friday 24th November without accreditation. Bike storage The Velodrome track centre will be secured with security personnel from Friday (24th) morning, no other storage is available at the venue. Team pens will be made with barriers and if you wish to store equipment in this area we recommend you bring locks with you as the area will still be accessible to accredited personnel. Doping Control The doping control room is located in the Velodrome not far from the entrance to the track and will be clearly signposted from track centre.

Spectators This event is open access for all spectators to come and watch the racing. There will be no tickets on sale. Food and Drink The HSBC UK National Cycling Centre Café is open for most of the event period, located on the ground floor at the front entrance to the centre. ASDA superstore is also close by with the nearest cash machine (ATM) and currency bureau.
