Even as business and environmental conditions are becoming more and more challenging year after year, nevertheless through the strong efforts of our ISO 14001 Committee, PFSAP could still achieve all the key environmental targets for the Panasonic Group for energy usage (CO2 emissions), water usage, waste generation, chemical substance usage and the required number of environmental promotion activity carried out for the year. This year, the most important highlight of significant achievement by PFSAP to be mentioned would be the implementation of the solar panel leasing scheme project which resulted in completing the installation of 3,479 number of Panasonic HIT®2 294Wp solar panels on 3 of the buildings’ rooftop areas from July to September 2016. The entire solar panel PV system was officially commissioned and turned on for full operation in October 2016 by the Singapore Power authority. Based on the total solar panel capacity, PFSAP could expect to generate clean and renewable energy power of 1,194,660 kWh annually which is equivalent to about 20% of the total company’s annual energy consumption and thus able to reduce CO2 emissions by 630 tons per year. For information, PFSAP is the second company within the Panasonic Group in Singapore to have completed the solar panel installation. The first company was Panasonic Appliances Refrigeration Devices Singapore (PAPRDSG) which completed their solar panel system in 2015. Other environmental conservation activities carried out by PFSAP also included the painting of solar reflective paint for all the exterior buildings, air conditioning temperature audits, air leak diagnosis checks, water reduction measures for agricultural production, wasteisnotwaste recycling program and the various promotion activities conducted during the annual QES (QualityEnvironmentSafety) Month campaign in November 2016 including the environmental cleanup day. For OnePanasonic environmental events completed would include eco tour and solar light craft workshop at Marina Barrage, water awareness program and clean up activity at Kallang waterways and 10% energy and water challenge to encourage all Panasonic employees to save electricity and water at home. Next year FY2018 would be an important year for PFSAP for preparation to convert our existing ISO 14001 environmental management system to the new 2015 international standards. Our company targets to achieve the conversion audit by AprilMay 2018 ahead of the new standard transition timeline of September 2018. As part of global Panasonic corporate commitment, PFSAP would continue to drive environmental programs and activities for the good of environmental protection and conservation.

Panasonic Factory Solutions Asia Pacific (PFSAP), Singapore has achieved yet another fruitful year in FY2017 from 1 April 2016 to 31 March 2017 in terms of environmental contribution and sustainability.

This year, the most important highlight of significant achievement by PFSAP to be mentioned would be the implementation of the solar panel leasing scheme project which resulted in completing the installation of 3,479 number of Panasonic HIT®2 294Wp solar panels on 3 of the buildings’ roof‐top areas from July to September 2016. For information, PFSAP is the second company within the Panasonic Group in Singapore to have completed the solar panel installation.The first company was Panasonic Appliances Refrigeration Devices Singapore (PAPRDSG) which completed their solar panel systemin 2015.

Other environmental conservation activities carried out by PFSAP also included the painting of solar reflective paint for all the exterior buildings, air conditioning temperature audits, air leak diagnosis checks, water reduction measures for agriculturalproduction, waste‐is‐not‐waste recycling program and the various promotion activities conducted during the annual QES (Quality‐Environment‐Safety) Month campaign in November 2016 including the environmental clean‐up day.

For One‐Panasonic environmental events completed would include eco tour and solar light craft workshop at Marina Barrage, water awareness program and clean up activity at Kallang waterways and 10% energy and water challenge to encourage all Panasonic employees to save electricity and water at home.

Next year FY2018 would be an important year for PFSAP for preparation to convert our existing ISO 14001 environmental management system to the new 2015 international standards. Our company targets to achieve the conversion audit by April‐May 2018 ahead of the new standard transition timeline of September 2018.

As part of global Panasonic corporate commitment, PFSAP would continue to drive environmental programs and activities for the good of environmental protection and conservation.
