simplify the chores of cleaning school shoes. It is modern, simple and fast.

OBJECTIVES

Through this competition it is hoped that a few objectives are achieved. They are;

1. To show the shortcomings of present day washing machines in helping us get our shoes cleaned.

  2. To prove the effectiveness of Smart Shoe Washer (sHoW)  

3. To instill the spirit of team work in the students.

4. To expose the students to the concept of having initiative, being innovative and are always creative in new invention of gadgets for tomorrow’s living.

5. To encourage the students to find ways on how to save the earth for future generations by reusing, recycling materials.

HOW sHoW FUNCTIONS

Smart Shoe Washer (sHoW) starts to function when electrical supply is switched on.

When the switch is turned on, the electrical energy will activate the motor which then will rotate the gears using mechanical chain.

The gears are directly connected to the brushes that rotate and hence clean the shoes. The circuit is connected to a.c supply so that the brushes rotate both ways. Apart from that it is also installed with a timer that will enable the users to set the length of time they want their shoes to be washed.

CONCLUSIONThe use of Smart Shoe Washer(sHoW) is sure the smart and much better way to clean school shoes compared to ordinary washing machine. The use of ordinary washing machine has proven to cause damage to the shoes, apart from having to use a lot of water.
