However, the Bears would relinquish 3 runs in the bottom of the 6th to make it a tie game. Nic Hasnen, the starting pitcher,
contributed a masterful outing, holding the home team to 0 runs through 5 innings. Even though he gave up 3 runs in the 6th, only
2 of the runs were earned.
Offensively, Derek Larson, Bryce Rone, and Hanson would provide RBI hits to take the 3 to 0 lead. The home team would rally in
the bottom of the 7th to take the win in a hard fought and evenly matched game. Josh Dyer, Cody Hamilton and Kirk Thorne also
contributed hits.
The Bears will take on Cheyenne Mountain High School, the number 1 ranked team in 4A in the state in the league crossover
tournament. The Bears enter the tournament as the number 4 seed in the league after the loss to Falcon.

2012 Bears Baseball Fundraising
As with all sports programs at Palmer Ridge High School (PRHS), the 2012 Bears Baseball Team is working hard to raise the money
needed to properly support the development and growth of our young athletes. The baseball program at PRHS has clearly
established itself as a winning program with outstanding student athletes and thus continues its tradition of operating a Booster
Club to spearhead these endeavors.
The Bears Baseball Booster Club, made up strictly of volunteer parents, has and will work hard again this year to raise the money
for the items that are needed. In the event that fundraising exceeds expectations, the Booster Club will then focus on items the
team deems appropriate for the “wish list”.
Fundraisers currently being undertaken or under consideration for the future include the following:
-Electronic Newsletter Subscriptions to “Dirt From The Dugout” – A Palmer Ridge Bears Baseball Publication
-PINZ Bowling Night & Bake Sale
-Concessions At A Local Volleyball Tournament
As always, your continued support as a parent, extended family member, friend or alumni is greatly appreciated!
