Complete Specification / Terms of Reference
TERMS OF REFERENCES
Pakistan International Airlines Corporation (PIAC) requests proposals from the qualified &
experienced firms holding international / local repute and comprehensive standing in
networking to provide the wireless solution WIFI for PIA Engineering & Maintenance
facility in Karachi including Jinnah Terminal International / domestic Aircraft parking area
and ATR parking area.
Background:-
During Aircraft Maintenance personnel are required to consult maintenance data and
technical record, which at present is through paper based hard copy and by going to control
office for pc based access which consumes much time which becomes significant while
during short transit interval of Aircrafts at JIAP. Therefore PIA intends to equip their
technical work force with maintenance data access at ramp. This accessed data
communication infrastructure is based on the intranet and internet through wired cables.
Scope of the Project:-
To facilitate maintenance personnel working on aircraft with access to maintenance data
and aircraft technical information directly on site (on ramp and inside Aircraft) and
relieving them from physical movement to / from control room/library to look for
necessary information. The same infrastructure would be used to provide e-Tech log
capability in future MRO/M&E IT Solution.
