As part of the course, tutor of this course assigned to write a report to examine the 4GW and its effect in Pakistan.

The purpose of this report is to educate our reader about warfare that are being used in Pakistan and give them a

brief history of warfare. This report is to alarm the people of Pakistan to wake up and look around before it’s too

late to mend. This report is for the young generation that are the future of Pakistan.

The finding of this report show that Pakistan is facing fourth generation war and due to this war its losing its

identity, its value , culture while there are steps if taken Pakistan can get out of this war and show the world that we

still are united under a green flag.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This report aims to inform the reader about the war that is being imposed on Pakistan. The report tells the

difference between the old war tactics and new war that is called “Fourth Generation war fare” it warns the reader

how slowly and intensely it’s weakening the roots of Pakistan and how it’s eating the culture, value economy and

politics. This modern war fare technique is slow in process while its result is 100% as desired. This war is begin

played by non-state actors who don’t directly invade the target country.

The finding reveal that there is a war going on Pakistan whose modern name is “Fourth Generation war (4GW)”

which is modern form of “Third Generation war (3GW)”. According to protocol of 4GW the prey country is

destroyed internally no invasion is done from the start but once the target country is decimated by the 4GW then

the enemy just bring the air strike, separate the components. Now in Pakistan is the same war going on in Karachi

named “Target Killing”, in KPK and tribal areas it’s “Terrorism” while another war going on in Balochistan in which

the “Balochistan Liberal Army” is taking part, the media war, the economic collapse of Pakistan. These all are the

major key point of the 4GW, while Yugoslavia was the first country in the heart land of Europe where 4GW was first

deployed and after the war was over Yugoslavia was divided into 5 or 6 countries. The main reason Pakistan facing

this war is the existence of NATO in Afghanistan.

It is clear that Pakistan is in a state of war and the bad luck is that except of a few dozen of people no one knows

about it and it’s the beauty of 4GW too. Even the current government don’t know about this war that is being

imposed upon this country. If this war goes on for more a decade not surprisingly Pakistan may divide into 4 or 5

small countries and that nobody in this country wants.

There exists no problem without any solution so following are some steps if taken one can recover from 4GW and

can be stable again.

Kick out the NATO from Afghanistan

Impose tax on everybody living in this country

Build up the economy

Take heavy tax for the NATO supply as they pass through Pakistan

Welcome gigantic brand in Pakistan so capital came to Pakistan

Stop Corruption

Ideology has to be strength

1.0 Introduction

1.1 Background

War is old routine of human being only the strategies have change. The theory of 4GW has got

considerable fame after the twin tower incident in America because just after that America stepped into

war against terrorism. 4GW proponent’s claims of non-state actor infiltration for the future inter-state

conflict as the dominant format will replace conventional warfare. 4GW is a totally new form of military

organization and equally radical change in thinking. The past generation warfare 1WF, 2GW and 3 GW is

completely different from the new 4GW. In 4GW only 10% is army involvement just to divide a country

into smaller parts while the past generation warfare more than 50% military was involved. The need of

this new warfare was required when weapons were more fast than human and when your military is less

to attack a desired prey country.

1.2 Aim

The core purpose of this report is to educate people especially the youth about the 4GW and explain

them about the differences between the modern warfare and the old warfare. This report alarms the

citizen of Pakistan that this warfare is different our enemy is a clever fox they are playing this war slowly

so that they can have total control on Pakistan. It focus on the difference between the old war combats

and the new combats.

1.3 Scope

The report evaluate the period in which it’s passing and will focus on 4 points: 4GW, how is it different

from the old generation war fare, is Pakistan suffering from 4GW and how can Pakistan overcome this

war. Although war on terror is Pakistan war but the report don’t describes it in detail nor there any

discussion on Al-Qaida and Osama bin laden work.

2.0 Historical Background

This is the most unfortunate part that the entire greater Middle East is reshaped and the people living in this

entire huge region still don’t understand what is happening to them. All this that is happening from Sudan to

Pakistan which is basically a Muslim land mark is reshaped, re drawn is being dis membered and the war that is

imposed on this region is Forth generation war. This concept is to be explain because it’s not a conventional war

nor a nuclear war lets go back and look in detail the old generation war.

2.1 First Generation War Fare(1GW)

These type of war were fought before 1918. Napoleon Bona Part was good at these type of war. So the

World War I was of 1GW. The two enemy decide a place where they will fought the war, commonly

these places were wide and were far away from the cities and were in fields. In these types of war 90%

died were soldiers. These war were fought on the borders no civilian, no citizen were harmed due to the

war. The war never reach the cities so basically the soldier died to save their territory and to win the

battle. Example is the famous Trench war fare.

2.2 Second Generation War Fare (2GW)

These types of war were fought between 1918 and 1940, this includes the great World War II which was

more mobile war fare Air crafts tanks were introduced so this was the upgraded form of 1GW. These

types of war were within the target country London, Europe, Russia were decimated, entire city were

flattened. War was fought in the urban areas and in these type of war 80% dead were the civilian, the

ordinary people. Conventional war non-nuclear, non-chemical war which was fought all over the country

in the cities the purpose was to make the enemy country go back destroy their cities so that it would be

hard for them to rebuilt and eventually they fall down. But primarily major army fought within the cities.

2.3 Third Generation War Fare (3GW)

These types of war were fought between 1940’s and 70’s and early 80’s. In these type so of war fare

there were nuclear exchange because every powerful country wants to upgrade them self to this new

technology. After the Soviet Union started to disintegrate the cold war was Cold war was over and

America turned out as the only super power for that particular time and they decided to redraw the

world map according to their will so that they don’t have any fears from any country.

3.0 Methodology

Fourth Generation War is essentially a civilian nonmilitary doctrine, which is characterized by an attack on

ideology, culture and social values. Small combats action by non-state actors, Media and Information warfare

and physiological operation.

3.1 Detail

This type of war is not a conventional war, it’s not a nuclear war, it’s not a regular war and this is a war

between conventional war and nuclear war where regular countries, regular army don’t attack on a

country. But they soften it up before an invasion through political collapse, through economic collapse,

through support to violent non-state actor, support to insurgencies, supporting ethic religious sectarian

war within that country and imploding that country to such an extent that it almost became a false state,

unable to resist a foreign invasion and occupation either for occupation or for dismemberment. 4GW

can’t be fought wit out the most massive, most powerful, disinformation, psychological warfare. The

host country of 4GW has built a gigantic media empire which they have in the form of CNN, Fox, and BBC

all these empire are built around the globe. According to 4GW the host invest into local media of the

target country so that they can spread news according to their will and desire.

3.2 Example

Now there are a lot of example countries which have suffered from the 4GW major two of they are as

follows

3.2.1 Yugoslavia

In 1991 Yugoslavia was the only large European country which was pro Russia at that time so

host of 4GW decided they can’t have a pro-Russian country in middle of European heart land,

so they decided to dismember Yugoslavia. But nobody invaded Yugoslavia. How do you

dismember a country which have 5th largest army in the world? And still you don’t want to

attack it with conventional weapon or with nuclear weapon, this is exactly where the first

major deployment active deployment 4GW took place in the heartland of Europe. Now the

non-state actor take part and supported different province of Yugoslavia and now the result

between 92-95 genocide took place in Yugoslavia. All ethnic, religious community fought with

each other. When the war decimated Yugoslavia completely then in the end NATO got

involved used Brutal force moved in with air strike separated the component and force out a

peace agreement which basically divide Yugoslavia into 6 country. So this was the most active

deployment of 4GW.

3.2.2 Iraq

Before Iraq was invaded massive hyssop was built in the world to make a perception that Iraq

has weapon of mass destruction. This was the media warfare this is 4GW.

4.0 Content

4.1 Pakistan and 4GW

A nuclear armed nation is in a state of collapse. Is Pakistan under a massive 4GW which is tiring a rapid

collapse of this state into a fail, dis-functional country like Somalia. Fourth Generation Warfare is a

holistic war which has a militant arm, information warfare arm, judicial arm, political arm and all these

arms are simultaneously deployed against Pakistan right now and they are being deployed under the

mischief of democracy. Even since democracy has come to Pakistan last 6-7 years our collapse has

accelerated. This democracy has not saved Pakistan, not benefited Pakistan. Now we are at the end of

becoming a fail state. Pakistan economy is mismanaged and is under the IMF and World Bank. Every days

rates of petrol, gas, water is being raised. There is an information warfare going on in present in Pakistan

where GEO, DUNYA, WAQAT, AAJ, ARY and many other news channels are playing their role in it. Making

militant group like TTP (Tahreeq Taliban Pakistan), BLA (Balochistan Liberation Army) and the target killer

in Karachi they all are the causes of civil war within the country. Creating fights between religious groups

like Shia Sunni. And at the end they make a propaganda that Pakistan’s Atomic Weapons are in danger.

Most of all stopping water so that Pakistan can die due to thirst and hunger.

4.2 America Pakistan and Afghanistan

Now the question is why America came to Afghanistan. Did America attack on Afghanistan in 2001 to

topple the Taliban regime that was eligibly providing save heavens to Al-Qaida leader ship and Osama

Bin Laden? Starting 4GW on Pakistan soil is the aim of America was not to eliminate Afghanistan but it

was to create a foot hold from where they could control politics and economy of the whole region. TTP

was established and funded by USA and trained and given intelligence logistics support by CIA, MOSSAD

and later by RAW. Now the things are different USA know Pakistan comes out as hard country, they are

not easy, and USA has to be slow with Pakistan for deploying 4GW.

4.3 What If Pakistan became a Fail state

Once Pakistan is declared as fail state then global perception would be built up like Syria their chemical

weapons are in hands of terrorist. Now they are building the perception that Pakistan nuclear weapon is

about to fall in hands of terrorist, so Pakistan nuclear weapon should be taken away. Now that the

ultimate objective. And once the internal collapse crosses a certain red line the Indian will roll into

Pakistan under their military doctrine of COLD START. They have actually develop a military doctrine

which says they will enter into Pakistan from 12 different places without warning that’s why it’s called

COLD START. By that time if NATO still exist in Afghanistan then they will invade Pakistan from the

Durian Line. And there is a possibility that USA SEAL may attack Gawadar by water. As figure1.0 shows a

pictorial description of that scenario that from where all the invader can come to Pakistan.

4.4 Leverage Pakistan Have

Taking about leverage Pakistan have following leverage

NATO supplies pass through Pakistan while in case of Yugoslavia and Iraq there was no NATO

supply

Use NATO supply as USA weakness

Use Nuclear weapon as leverage

Use Pakistan army as a symbol of strength of Pakistan state and respond back.

5.0 Conclusion

A nuclear armed nation is under the attack of fourth generation war and few dozen of people knows it. Pakistan

economy is falling day by day no one wants to invest his capital in this country. Pakistan is facing media war,

economical war, religious war, civilian war and if these wars are not stopped banned the day is not far it will

became a fail state but its nuclear weapons will be secured always as they are under the vision of Pakistan Army

as they stand as a symbol of Federation, its keeping the country united.

6.0 Recommendation

In the end here are some points if followed by Pakistan they can get them self-outside the fourth generation

warfare

Judiciary has to be strength

Terrorism has to be eliminate

Corruption has to be stop

National Unity has to be strength

Ideology has to be strength

Make strict rules for religious problems

Apply tax implementation fair

Take capital from USA for the NATO Supply from the begin of time

Kick America Out of Afghanistan

Bring all the money from Swiss bank and other bank to Pakistan
