Padlet Padlet is an online announcement and post-‐it page. Create a wall to add notes; others can add notes as well. Audio, video and images can be added to your wall.

Sign up for an account In the top right corner, click Login. Complete the short form. You will now be able to access Padlet. The main page will now appear.

Create a new wall From the main page, choose the Build a New Wall button.

Padlet

Add Notes Double-‐click on the wall page. A note will appear. Type your information in the note.

Move Notes Click and drag the notes to any location on the wall.

Padlet Allow others to add notes Others do not need an account to add notes to your wall. If you currently have your wall set to private without allowing others to edit, you can easily change the settings. Choose the Modify Wall button.

Below the privacy settings, note the ability to moderate comments before appearing public. Note the URL at the top of the page of your wall. Provide that link to others so they can access your wall and add notes. Once users access your page, they can double-‐click on the page to add a note. It defaults to anonymous. Users can change the name.

Share wall Socialize: A variety of sharing options for you to choose include Google +, Pinterest and Twitter. Subscribe: Copy and Paste the RSS URL into a blog reader like Google Reader. Every time a change is made to the wall, it will be posted to your reader. Snap: Take a screenshot of the wall and send the URL to others. Embed: Take the Embed code and add to your School Center page. See below for how-‐to. Mobilize: Using the QR Code, scan with a mobile device QR Code reader to view the wall.

Embed in School Center In Padlet:

Click the Share option. Under Embed, highlight and copy the funny code. Don’t worry -‐ you don’t need to know what the code means. Just make sure you copy the entire code in the box.


Padlet Now go into School Center.

Decide if you want to put the wall in a Content Box or Newsletter Box. Content Box:

1. On your School Center page, click the content box you would like to add your Padlet.

2. A menu bar will appear at the top of the page.

3. Choose More to reveal more options.

4. Click the HTML button that appears in the expanded menu.

5. A box will pop up. Paste the code you grabbed from Padlet by pressing the Control key and the V key at the same time.

You should now see crazy code.

6. Click Save. Your Padlet should appear. It make take a bit to load on your page.


Padlet Newsletter Box:

1. On your School Center page, click New Newsletter Box.

2. Choose Add Picture & Text.

3. Title your newsletter box.

4. In the Description area, press the Control key and the V key at the same time to paste the code.

5. Click Done. Your Padlet should appear in a few moments.
