Ash Disposal Area

According to Chief of BAPEDAL decision No : 04/BAPEDAL/09/1995 Ash Disposal area for B3 waste (ash from coal fire power plant is a B3 waste) need to have :

Basic Layer System which is consist of clay, HDPE, Geonet, Geotextile Filter, clay layer leach collecting and covering material with the size of 20-30% Closing Layer System consist of clay, HDPE, Geonet, Geotextile Filter, material layer with the size of 20-30% covering a plant.Well for leaching collectionWell to monitored the ground water

Declivity of the ash pile is plan for 45 0. Rain water in ash disposal area will be collect in the ash disposal run of pond then transfer and process in the waste water treatment plant.

To decrease the air pollution because of the ash particle at the ash disposal area, besides solid the ash, ash disposal surface has to be wet by water spray. Other alternative is by covering with plastic (dry system).
