  • DESCRIPTION Three logos of different styles and color schemes for the same company: A seafood restaurant.

PROCESS First, did a lot of sketches to get ideas out of different logo. Chose the top three. Then I designed them on the computer. I took a picture of an anchor and a ship wheel from the Internet and turned it into vector graphics. The ship on the third logo I drew by hand on my touch pad.

  • DESCRIPTION A brochure for a fine Bed and Breakfast in Maine.

PROCESS First, decided on the company to make a brochure for. Then I created the logo. This included sketches of different ideas and then working in illustrator to make it real. Once the logo was created, I decided on a layout for the brochure. I wrote text that would be inserted. After inserting the text, I added a painting to the bottom and wrapped text around it. Finally, I printed it with bleed marks, cut it and folded.

    PROGRAMS Photoshop; InDesign

OBJECTIVES Portray the image of the company well.

  • DESCRIPTION A religious-themed photo montage with typography quote.

PROCESS First did sketches about what I wanted to portray visually and as a message and looked for images and quotes that would fit it. Then, on photo-shopped, I used masks to combine the images well and then added text following an analogous color scheme. I played with alignment until it flowed exactly how I wanted it to.

  • DESCRIPTION An ad for a fund raiser from Discovery Chanel for Food for the Poor.

PROCESS I first looked at pictures and at the same time thought about ads that could go along with it. I found a picture of a scuba diver with a shark and thought it would be fun to have a fund raiser for the adventurous. I scanned in the picture at 300 dpi so I would make it as big as the page and not loose quality. I wanted to do a simple color scheme of complementary colors: Red and Green.

    PROGRAMS Microsoft Word

OBJECTIVES Get the message of the companies event through an ad.

PROCESS First, I design my logo that the web page would center around. I started with sketches of ideas and then chose one. • DESCRIPTION A flier for high school students advertising a Leadership Conference from Vouant Communication.

PROCESS I first made 4 sketches of different layout ideas. I picked the best one. Then, I created the flier in Adobe InDesign inserting the logo and photo I got from the client. I made the title big and bold to grab attention of anyone interested in leadership. Then I made the question the next biggest font with a question mark tilted to add a fun eye-catcher targeting a high school audience. The body copy is small but the date and time is bold to catch the eye.
