    Adobe Indesign/Photoshop/Illustrator

Create a brochure that is a two sided, folded document to help promote a company product, service, or location

I began with a lot of sketching, playing with paper, and using Pinterest. I then went into Indesign and because of all the previous work done before getting on the computer I knew exactly what I needed my measurements to be. When I was ready to print I went to Alpha Graphics. I folded and cut everything. I cut my logo and notches out of the paper. Then I took the binding rope I bought and bound it together.

Create a spiritual poster montage using images and type

I spent a lot of time on Pinterest looking for ideas and sketching. I found the picture of the hands the universe online. I placed the two images together and placed masks on both of them and then, using the brush tool, slowly started to hide parts of the images. I used the burn tool to make the edges of the hands softer. I kept the text simple but used the cloning tool to tie the image and text together.

    Adobe Photoshop

Using a picture you took, create a design

I spent a lot of time thinking about this image and then sketched it out. I took the time to get the right depth of field and applied the rule of thirds. I then took this image to Photoshop and applied some different effects. I whited out the sky on purpose to give me a good back ground for my type. I then found inspiration from a lacrosse photographer to cut in half the image and put one side in black and white.

Create an event ad with a scanned image using only Microsoft Word

I began by scanning this picture that I bought years ago from an art festival so I decided to use it. Then I opened it up in Photoshop and Microsoft word. I played around with lots of different places to put the text because of how busy this image was.

    Adobe Indesign

    Create a flier using Indesign

I began this project with sketches. I used my sketch to create a design in Adobe InDesign. I began by making my focal point to give a hierarchy to the flier. I made Graduate Leadership Conference in big letters in white against a black background to give a high contrast and made the font size for Leadership larger to give that the main focal point. I used the picture so the pen would point to the title to give another piece of focal point
