Murray is a strong advocate for fathers and is a frequent radio, television talk show guest and special report/op-ed contributor to the state newspapers. Henry Gornbein specializes in all aspects of Family Law, including mediation and collaborative law. He is a member of the American Academy of Matrimo- nial Lawyers, past president of its Michigan chapter, and has been named as a Super Lawyer in 2007, 2008 and 2009. He is also the creator and host of the award winning cable television show “Practical Law”, which has recently won its third Farnsworth Award for Excellence. Thomas Haller is a widely sought-after national and international presenter in the areas of child behavior management and verbal language skills. He is considered one of the world’s foremost authorities on empowering individuals with effective verbal skills for creating interpersonal change and raising confi- dent children. He is also the co-author of five highly acclaimed books. Larry Herren is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Social Work with nearly 20 years of clinical experience in family and adolescent therapy. Bob Howe has served education in Michigan for over 35 years as a teacher, coach, middle school principal, high school principal and superintendent of schools. He currently serves as the Executive Director of the 1,400 member Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principal’s Association. Lima Pereira is the Program Manager for The City of Detroit Head Start Father- hood Initiative. He is a devoted volunteer supporting causes for children, an active youth basketball coach/trainer and is passionate about championing the effort for greater male involvement in the lives of children. Ron Szalka and his wife Brenda have been married for 11 years and have two young children. After 20 years in Retail Management, Ron is now a full-time father who works part time nights and weekends. Brenda holds a Masters Degree in Social Work and works from home as the Director of an Employee Assistance Program. Bob Stien is the founder of the New York Fathers Conference. Tom FitzPatrick is a men's and couples' therapist with the Center for Creative Living in Royal Oak. His purpose is to help men become excellent husbands and fathers by putting more passion, power, and purpose in their lives. He is co‐founder of the Midwest Fathers Conference and Fathers Forum. In 2007 Tom established Father Fest, now an annual event for families to honor dads on Fathers Day.
