CONSTRUCTION SITEWe were told to use the area above the rose gardens for our performing arts centre and were told that parts of surrounding buildings could be demolished or moved if the performing arts centre cut into it. It was easiest to insert a map of the school grounds onto sketchup and start building the performing arts centre onto it so you could easily see where it would be positioned.

the glass lift cuts into science block, the entrance and foyer cut into music house and the stage cuts into the sports field.

FLOORS/LEVELS

A glass elevator provides access to all three levels. The main elevator is located in the corner- cutting into science block. Another elevator is located on the side of backstage and leads underground to a practice area.

WINDOWSI wasn’t entirely sure whether we had to putwindows or not as we weren’t required to put aroof on- but I added some just in case. There

arelong windows in the lower level dance studio

andchoir/orchestra room as they are larger roomsand small windows on the higher levels.
