Swan Lake, initially called the Reflecting Pool, was part of the original Hershey Rose Garden Milton Hershey created in 1937. Harry Erdman, who designed the original garden, always favored the pond, calling it “the magnificent erosion gully that resulted from the construction of the hotel…it made a wonderful pond for irrigation and ornamentation.” In the mid-1950s, Hershey Gardens introduced swans in the pond, leading to its current name, “Swan Lake.” e personalized pavers are an enduring tribute to loved ones or friends, and a unique way to celebrate holidays, graduations, birthdays or other special occasions. e newly expanded path around Swan Lake will be created using 9,000 pavers. e premium 4” x 8” pavers will take center stage as they line the main walkway around the lake.
