Apr 23, 2011 10:47 PM
2 Villagers tend to (in my experience) be reluctant to contact Police regardingsafety and security issues. Meaning that Police assistance is not called for atthe time of offences and offenders are thereby allowed to get away.
Apr 19, 2011 11:05 PM

Apr 6, 2011 1:14 PM
23 I am 25, work in Nottingham, and don't drive. Whilst I am living here, publictransport is very important to me. The Calverton connection services arefantastic. the times and availability of other services however, like Premiere(number 4,5,6?) are appalling. I often have to walk to Calverton because ofthis.

Apr 4, 2011 4:15 PM
34 Still nothing done to stop speeding on New Road and main Street. Apr 4, 2011 10:55 AM
35 Village being used as rat run!!! dangerous Apr 4, 2011 10:35 AM

Mar 27, 2011 9:44 PM
48 Neighbourhood watch needs re-focusing. Speeding traffic ruins the villageand is totally unecessary
Mar 27, 2011 9:21 PM
49 I feel the speed the traffic comes down Forest Road is becoming increasinglydangerous especially as we have no driveway and our entrance stepsstraight out on to the road.

Page 7, Q2. What do you think of the quality of the existing bus service?
1 Massive decline - very poor reputation based on poor reliability Apr 23, 2011 10:55 PM
2 Thank goodness I have a car Apr 16, 2011 12:40 PM
3 Cost OK Apr 16, 2011 11:52 AM
4 However my mother did use it and I think it is very important for those whocannot drive - the elderly etc.
Apr 16, 2011 11:32 AM
5 What do you expect? Apr 16, 2011 10:08 AM
6 I wanted to use the bus many times but there was never one to get at areasonable frequency

14 cannot rely on service Apr 6, 2011 1:27 PM
15 I don't use Premiere. Calverton connection very good all round Black Pen -CC bus Blue Pen - Premiere (with the exception of the red 7 that can comeback from town which i may start to use)
Apr 6, 2011 10:06 AM
16 My opinions are based on 'hearsay'! Apr 5, 2011 5:18 PM
17 We need a anew bus service. the route is too long and the bus turns upwhen they want to
Apr 4, 2011 8:25 PM
18 the route is too long and clashes with route of 100 Southwell bus which runsregularly. Most villagers would like a bus service that runs through Calvertonin order that they can get to the doctors etc. Premiere are not reliable, onmany occasions the bus does not even turn up. Excuses have includedbreakdown, fallen trees and "trouble in Calverton". the drivers on the lastbus 23.05 p.m. often try to say they don't come to oxton or that they don'tknow the route. this bus also leaves Nottingham early.
Apr 4, 2011 8:17 PM
19 If the service was more regular/reliable, I would use it more. had far toomany weak excuses from service provider
Apr 4, 2011 8:07 PM

22 I have used the Calverton bus service which is a good one Apr 4, 2011 3:59 PM
23 so infrequent that of no use Apr 4, 2011 2:47 PM
24 It is not satisfactory to Nottingham Apr 4, 2011 10:50 AM

Page 7, Q2. What do you think of the quality of the existing bus service?
25 I do not use the bus service as they hardly go where I need to go and are atridiculous times
Apr 3, 2011 1:27 AM
26 There should be a connection to Calverton Mar 29, 2011 4:32 PM
27 There's no suitable servuice for the Doctor & shops at Calverton Mar 29, 2011 3:39 PM

Mar 26, 2011 3:58 PM
36 respondent put "neither" to Q2 re parish Council spending Mar 26, 2011 3:48 PM
37 I would like to use the service more. on many occasions i have waited at abus stop on the bus simply hasn't turned up. I have spoken to the companyon these occasions and they simply say the driver must have missed thestop. also there is NO regulariy to the low accessible bus to wheelchairs! thisis embarrassing for a village a part of Nottingham!
Mar 25, 2011 2:19 AM
38 better routing needed even if it means 2 buses to town centres. Drivers skipsome stops at the moment

5 As I ddrive and work in the Nottingham area it is unlikely I would use it,however this doesn't\mean I don't see its importance for others
Apr 16, 2011 11:32 AM
6 Would like to know why there is no bus service going north such asWorksop, Doncaster, only to get this service of bus I would have to get busfrom Oxton to Nottingham then come back from Nottingham to Worksopother areas north.
Apr 16, 2011 10:30 AM

62 Regarding the flooding, the main cause of this is the water course that joinsthe Dover beck at Nix's gate. The volume of water coming back into the DBeck has the same effect as 2 main roads joining, all cars are reduced to acrawl. the water is going through a narrow tunnel under the roundabout andthe D Beck comes to a standstill. It is downhill all theshould be diverted tobelow the roundabout where the ground falls away. the only problem isgetting it under the road. It could be put in a concrete pipe and coveredover, giving the farmer his field back. The surplus sand would then need nomaintenance for weeds blocking the waterway and the D Beck would flowagain.d way to Lowdham and the other waterway

Page 8, Q3. Which, if any, of the following environmental features would you like to see in the village?
1 Community wind turbines, community composters etc. etc. Effective solaramnity lighting around the village hall play area and car park to deter anti-social behaviour
Apr 23, 2011 10:57 PM
2 Arrrr!!! I would only support a wiond turbine if it was for the benefit of thevillage ONLY as per the one at Hockerton The recycling facilities we haveare so hidden from view I forget about them
Apr 16, 2011 12:41 PM
3 Wind turbine with benefits going to village resources e.g. village hall, churchetc.
Apr 16, 2011 12:23 PM
4 All the above village features are very important surely they will all beconserved. I think it is important light pollution is kept to a minimum. Peoplecare for the green areas (not park on them)
Apr 16, 2011 11:54 AM
5 A village green that doesn't have cars parked all over it as they are on thegrass around Elmcroft/Main St. the road is wide enough.
Apr 16, 2011 11:35 AM

16 walk by the lake (from the ice-house?) A village green would be goodincorporating a restored ice-house, maybe re-routing Main St slightly ormaking a one-way system for traffic
Apr 6, 2011 1:29 PM
17 recycling facilties: these are often full as both the pub and the village usethem. need a few more/bigger facilities
Page 8, Q3. Which, if any, of the following environmental features would you like to see in the village?

40 Slightly environmental: The charity bins at the pub never get emptied. Mar 25, 2011 2:21 AM
41 1. Community nature reserve area. 2. Hedges laid properlly 3. Longercircular walks from village that don't involve treks along dangerous, fastroads. Better linkage of footpaths. 4. Less Shooting 5. More people pickingup their dogs' mess! 6.Less Fly tipping and littering I would possibly considera wind turbine.
