Congratulations on purchasing a BreezairDucted Cooler for your home.

Breezair coolers have been designed toprovide quiet, reliable and cool comfort.

At Seeley International we manufactureBreezair evaporative coolers from the highestquality materials, and we have designed theproduct to provide many years of economical, trouble free cooling.

Please take a few moments to read theseoperating instructions, so that the most can begained from this investment.

Breezair coolers are fitted with either a WallMounted Thermostat Control or a RemoteThermostat Control. Please refer to therelevant section in this manual for instructionson how to operate either system. Also, pleasebe aware of the components and features thatare fitted to your particular cooler.

The appliance is not intended for use bypersons (including children) with reducedphysical, sensory or mental capabilities, orlack of experience and knowledge, unlessthey have been given supervision orinstruction concerning the use of the applianceby a person responsible for their safety.

Children should be supervised to ensure thatthey do not play with the appliance.

Effective Cooling

Important Notes!

To provide efficient cooling or ventilationthe building must have sufficient exhaustopenings to the outside of the building. Toassist air flow, open windows and doorsthat are farthest from the outlet vent ineach room. In these rooms, provide anexhaust opening about 2 times the ventsize of the room.

Where the design of the building preventsadequate exhaust, consideration shouldbe given to the provision of mechanicalextractions, such as an exhaust fan.

In areas where temperatures can causewater supply pipes to freeze, a drain downfacility should be provided during theinstallation. This drain down facility mustbe activated prior to freezing conditions,to avoid possible damage to the coolercomponents.

If the supply cord is damaged, it must bereplaced with a special cord availablefrom the manufacturer or its ServiceAgents and replaced by a Service Agentor similarly qualified person in order toavoid a hazard.

Do not operate any cooler with adamaged cord or plug.

WATERMANAGER®

The Breezair remote control is fitted

with the featurewhich automatically monitors the qualityof the water in the cooler.

The drains theexisting water in the cooler to allow it tobe replaced with fresh water, only whenit is needed. Therefore, you may noticeyour cooler draining water occasionally.

How often theperforms this operation depends uponthe quality of the water supply and therate of evaporation.

In areas of poor water quality, the

will operate moreoften as it tries to maintain the optimumwater quality in the cooler. Thismaximises the cooling effect and life ofthe cooling pads.

The remote control has a unique feature

attached to the thatallows you to specify either high or lowsalinity settings. The low salinity settingis used in specific circumstances only.We recommend talking with your dealerbefore adjusting this setting.

The high salinity setting is designed to operatethe cooler at a maximum safe salinity level tomaintain a normal working life. It also results ina minimum usage of water .

NOTE: High salinity outlet water should not beused on salt sensitive grass or plants. It has ahigh salt content.

The current setting isdisplayed by holding down the button andpressing the button. The setting can bechanged by holding down the button andpressing either the or button forHI and LO respectively.

The factory default settingis HI. For areas operating with bore water, DIPswitch 6 should be switched to off (see page10). This will disable the salinity measuringcircuit and simply drain water from the tankevery 65 minutes of operation.

Tank Drain Delay

Your cooler is fitted with one of two watermanagement systems designed to controlthe water salinity and optimise the life ofthe pads in your cooler.

If fitted, the bleed system, pictured onpage 16, will constantly drain smallamounts of water during the operation ofthe cooler. This allows fresh water to beadded diluting any minerals and saltsaccumulated.

The bleed rate for your cooler will dependon local operating conditions and will beset by the installer.

Bleed System

Drain Valve

If your cooler has been installed with adrain valve it is accompanied by the

salinity probes. Whenthe tank’s water salinity level reaches a

preset level the willopen the drain valve and release about 6to 8 litres. Fresh water will then be addeddiluting any minerals or salts

accumulated. Thewill continue to monitor and drain water asrequired.

Alternatively, the cooler can be set todrain 6 to 8 litres of water at a presetperiod of pump operating time. This canbe set by changing the salinity controlmethod selector if using the wall control,or DIP switch 6 if using the remote control.

In some states, regulations require thatevaporative air coolers be serviced atspecific intervals.

Seasonal maintenance is only required ifyou have a cooler fitted with a bleedsystem. The following pages outline themaintenance required at the end of theseason and then at the start of the nextseason. This ensures that your coolercontinues to operate efficiently.

If your cooler is fitted with a drain valve, reduced seasonal maintenance isrequired. However, we require that thefollowing components and the operationthereof, be checked after the first year, then every 2 years as routinemaintenance.(1).... Water distribution spreader trays.(2)....
