G E N E R A L
1. THE TIME IS THE ESSENCE OF CONTRACT.
2. FOR EXTRA ITEM THE RATE SHALL BE FIXED ON THE BASE OF CURENT MARKET RATES FOR
MATERIAL ACTUAL LABOUR AND 12 % PROFIT & 3% OVERHEAD CHARGES MATERIAL RATES
MUST BE SUPPORTED WITH PURCHASE BILLS.
3. THE ENTIRE WORK WILL BE CARRIED OUT AND COMPLETE USING APPROPRIATE QUALITY OF
MATERIALS, BEST WORKMANSHIP IN SPECIFIED TIME AND WITH RED AND DILIGENCE, AS
PER RELEVANT I.S. SPECIFICATION, INSTRUCTIONS, AND DISCUSSION OF CONSULTING
ENGINEER/ARCHITECT AND THE EMPLOYER.
4. ELECTRICITY REQUIRED FOR WORK SHALL BE OBTAINED ARRANGED AND PAID BY THE
CONTRACTOR.
5. ALL CO-OPERATIONS WILL BE GIVEN BY THE CONSULTING ARCHITECT AND THE EMPLOYER.
SIMILAR CO-OPERATION TO CARRY OUT AND COMPLETE THE WORK IS REQUIRED FROM THE
CONTRACTOR AND HIS STAFF.
6. THE TERMS & CONDITIONS WOULD BE AS PER THE CONDITIONS OF CONTACT, AND
STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS OF P.W.D. KHEDA. DETAIL SPECIFICATION WILL BE AVAILABLE
FOR STUDY FROM CREATIVE ARCHITECTS’ OFFICE.
7. FORMWORK FOR COLUMNS i.e. CIRCULAR OR RECTANGULAR OR SQUARE SHOULD BE NEW
SO AS TO GET FINE FINISH.

NOTES ALL WORKS SHALL CONFIRM TO GENERAL TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION FOR BUILDING WORK REGARDING SCHEDULE OF RATES FOR ROADS, BUILDING AND BRIDGES ITEM FOR THE YEAR 2002-03 OF GUJARAT STATES, BASED ON ANAND (R. & B.) DIVISION, ANAND. QUANTITIES FURNISHED ARE APPROXIMATE AND CAN INCREASE OR DECREASE DURING ACTUAL EXECUTION OF WORK. TENDERER SHALL QUOTE FIRM UNIT RATES. NO CLAIM IN RESPECT OF ACTUAL QUANTITIES VARYING OR DELETED FROM FURNISHED HEREIN SHALL BE ENTERTAINED. RATES AND PRICES SHALL BE WRITTEN IN BLUE/BLACK INK AND SHALL BE ENTERED BOTH IN FIGURE & IN WORDS. RATES QUOTED SHALL BE FIRM FOR ENTIRE DURATION OF THE WORKS PROGRESSIVE PAGE TOTAL AND THE FINAL TOTAL AMOUNT SHALL BE FURNISHED. TENDERS SHALL AS FAR AS POSSIBLE QUOTE FOR THE ENTIRE WORK. ON AWARD OF THE WORK – BUILDING – WISE BREAKUP OF QUANTITIES SHALL BE WORKED OUT AND R.A. BILLS WILL BE PREPARED ITEM WISE. ANY DISCOUNT/REBATE OFFERED BY THE TENDERER WILL BE APPLICABLE ON ENTIRE VALUE OF THE WORK INCLUDING THAT OF EXTRA ITEMS IF ANY. ALL THE PAYMENTS TO PARTY ON ACCOUNT OF RUNNING ACCOUNTS BILL SHALL BE TRATED AS ADVANCE PAYMENT ONLY SUBJECT TO SETTLEMENT IN THE FINAL BILL OF THE PROJECT. CONTRACTORS SHOULD ALSO GIVE US THE INFORMATION OF WORK CARRIED OUT BY THEM IN LAST THREE YEARS. Registrar SARDAR PATEL UNIVERSITY, VALLABH VIDHYANAGAR RESERVES THE RIGHTS TO ACCEPT OR REJECT ANY OR ALL TENDERS WITHOUT ANY REASON. IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO ACCEPT THE LOWEST QUOTATION.
