1 Overview Employer Administrators have the ability to search for eligibility and/or claims through the portal depending on the access permitted. Step 1: Obtain a Username/Temporary Password and Log In To obtain a username and temporary password, an existing employee of BAS will need to create the account. There is no self-registration process for employers. Once a username and password have been obtained, the employer will be able to log into the portal from the BAS website. The employer will be prompted to change their password upon their first login.

Overview

Employer Administrators have the ability to search for eligibility and/or claims through the portal depending on the access permitted. Step 1: Obtain a Username/Temporary Password and Log In To obtain a username and temporary password, an existing employee of BAS will need to create the account. There is no self-registration process for employers. Once a username and password have been obtained, the employer will be able to log into the portal from the BAS website. The employer will be prompted to change their password upon their first login.

Step 1: Obtain a Username/Temporary Password and Log In (Continued) License Agreement The employer must first review the License Agreement. To continue, click on Finish. If the employer clicks Cancel, he/she will be returned to the login page.

Step 2: Employer Services To search eligibility the employer should select Participant Eligibility from the navigation bar of their home page.

The employer will be taken straight into the eligibility search. Employers may do a Basic Search or Advanced Search depending on their preference and the information they have available. The default is the advanced search.

Step 3: Employer Services - Eligibility Eligibility – Advanced Search When performing an Advanced Search, Last Name and Group Number are required. The other fields are optional. The employer must fill these fields out, then click Search. Any members found will be listed underneath the search feature. To review the current information for a specific member, click on the Member's Name to view their eligibility.

Step 3: Employer Services – Eligibility (Continued) Eligibility – Basic Search When performing a Basic Search, the employer can search by one of three identifiers: Member ID, SSN, or Alternate Member ID. The employer must select which identifier they want to search with from the drop down menu.

Then, enter the search criteria and click Search. Any members found will be listed below. To review the current information for a specific member, click on the Member's Name to view their eligibility.

Step 3: Employer Services – Eligibility (Continued) Eligibility View Within the eligibility view, the employer can see general subscriber information, coverages and claims. If an employer wants to search for a specific claim or for a claim that may fall outside of the dates presented in the eligibility view, the employer can use the Claim Search feature (see Step 3).

Step 4: Employer Services – Claims

Claims – Advanced Search When performing an Advanced Search, Group Number is required. The other fields are optional. Within the Advanced Search, employers can search a date of service (individual date or date range) or the paid date. The employer must fill the fields out using their preferred criteria, then click Search. Note: If the employer chooses to use Patient Name, the name must be entered as it will appear on the claim (how it is being sent through the data). Any claims found will be listed under the search feature. To review the claim information for a specific claim, click on the Claim Number to view the claim details.

Step 4: Payor Services – Claims (Continued) Claims – Basic Search When performing a Basic Search, the employer can search by one of four identifiers: Claim Number, Member ID, SSN, or Alternate Member ID. The employer must select which identifier they want to search with from the drop down menu.

Then, enter the search criteria and click Search. Any claims found will be listed under the search feature. To review the claim details, click on the Claim Number.

Step 4: Employer Services – Claims (Continued) Claim View Within the claim view, in the top right hand corner the employer has the option to view the Original EOB or go to the Print View. Print View providers a printer friendly format of the claim.
