In our activity, air coming out from the balloon lifts the hovercraft. This air creates a narrow gap between the bottom of the

CD and the smooth surface below. Thus, the CD moves (hovers) above the surface.

What are the factors that can increase the speed of the hovercraft on any given surface?

World's largest Hovercraft can carry 418 passengers and 60 cars.
